Favorite thing: You can still find a public coin phone in Taipei city easily, which is a convenience to tourist like us without a handphone.
Glad the govt did not removed away many of the public coin phones when handphones are so widely used nowsaday.

Favorite thing: Yeliou sounds not familiar for Taiwanese people because we study it in school.
It has amazing coast made by waves.
Special rocks look like queen's head, mushroom, candle set etc.
Not only for Taiwanese, it's also a must see spot for foreign tourists.

Favorite thing: Gold Shrine was built up in Japanese colony time. Because of mine work, people have worship for mountain god. Pity it was mainly made of wood. Fire destroyed it and left stone building material.
Fondest memory: The location and the view of the shrine is very good. One can see sea, Keelung mountain and Tea Pot mountain. It's blue and green world.

Favorite thing: How is Taiwanese mine tunnel? The ticket takes you NTD50 only and you can experience the tunnel. It's cool inside, but far from the entrance 75m the air is bad. One can image how hard the work is and review the history. It's what you should never miss in Jinquashin.

Favorite thing: Jioufen is mountain town where was booming for mine industry. Most time the weather over there is not good. Light rains happen very often. A Taiwanese film, City of Sadness which won Venice gold lion prize shot there and made the town a famous toursting-spot.
Fondest memory: The scenary of Jioufen like the picture is typical and beautiful what shows up often in "City of Sadness".
