Starting at about 11pm post dinner you can either go directly to one of the main clubs out in Taipei -- Luxy (chunghsia near California gym and you can search for their info and events online), Room 18 at Neo 19 Warner(they're moving on up to 101 soon so don't be too discouraged at the decor now), or Mint (101 Warner). Ladies nights are on Wednesdays, the other days should range around 800NT w/drink coupon.
Luxy by now is well known for their flame bottle throwing show and the Luxy girls. Room 18 was once the It spot when it was still at the og space near Warner theaters and is now just a temporary club until it moves up to a redecorated suite in 101. Mint at 101 generally targets a slightly older crowd of late 20s to mid 30s.
After going to the clubs you can head directly to breakfast -- for Asian breakfast go to Fuhsing Nan Road, for Western head to 24 hours NY Bagel at Renai Road or Swensons, also at Renai.

Karaoke singing is a very popular form of entertainment for Asians, which originated from Japan close to 30 years ago. Have a go at the mike and unleash the talent within you. ;) I would recommend the Holiday KTV karaoke chain as their service is good (unlimited beverages and titbits, clean and comfortable rooms) and they have excellent music systems (try their remote controls and you will know). Even if you don't sing Chinese pop songs, there is a wide selection of foreign songs to choose from.

There are no shortage of nightspots in Taipei. One of the best is Carnegie's, a branch of the trendy Singapore bar where periodically people dance on the tables. I also recommend Malibu West in the Zone and the Pig in Tienmu. But no matter where you go your bound to make a few new friends, either among the expatriates or the locals.

In this place people can chose whether to dine a meal or jsut have some snacks and get something to drink!
They have cosy sofa with lovely atmosphere, every time I go there, I enjoy the place a lot.
But it may be annoying for those who doesn't smoke, due to lack of saparation for smoking or non-smoking area.
Their restaurant close at am1:00; and they close at am2:00 during the week.
Enjoy your night!!
Dress Code: I think smart casul is required, at least wear aomething nice!! Not to make yourself look sloppy is important, because everyone there looks great!!

This is a conventional night market with cheap buys and food, but with a twist.
They sell Snakes bladder, blood, wine, as well as Turtle parts here.
It's pretty gross looking at snake skins lying around, and mutilated turtles.
Also, they do not allow photography out these shops. But I steathily took a few anyway.

What most Taipei young generations do is to sing in a karaoke. In one of the most popular thing to do here. In these places, they offer up-to-date Chinese songs among Asia Pacific region, however, they do have English
ones to offer, but in comparison of the formers, I think the former ones are more enjoyable and more in quality and quantity.
What's more, singing all night long with buffet serving only cost you less than US$10 . Or you can choose to have good meal, which also cost you less than US$10, and you enjoy whole night through as well.
But be sure to choose legel karaokes, because there were many quarrels in illegel ones before, and caused some unwanted results.
Dress Code: Casual, because you are singing with your companions in a private room, so don't worry about your lousy voice. (That's based on my personal experience. )

This is really a very large market in Taipei. Get yourself for a few hours walk. If you are stop at the Jian Dan Station, opposite of this is a large hawker center which is fixed with air-cond that you can actually feel betther especially during hot summer. Check out for the mix fruit juices and local food. Keep to the left of the street you will find a large electronic and mobile discount stall. Check out for some good deal. If you notice, local people are more prefer to walk around with their pets rather than their partner:).

Every night in this park about after7 or 8 o'clock, people gather there for sport!
Playing basketball, skate, jogging, walking and so on.
It reflects the locals' life style - hard working at daytime, relax / sweat at nighttime to keep balance between stress and health.
