Besides Nightmarkets, there are still some fun places to go at night here. You could go to BrownSugar to hear Jazzmusic, go to Kiss to dance, go to YangMingShan to watch the night scenes from mountain, go to see a midnight movie, or just go to 7-11 to have a hot soup, snacks..
Well, I know it might be special in Taiwan that we close stores pretty late, around 10 or 10.30 pm. So you don't have to worry what if you want to eat food at night, just go out, and find a convenient store just in the corner. 7-11, other convenient stores are VERY popular here, almost EVERY alley has one, and they are all 24 hours, great, huh?

Everything here is WHITE. Small cute & cool place. Gets quite here sometimes because the door use a number lock. Only the ones (or the cool people) who knows the combination can come in. But when it's high...it gets really high. This would be another place to watch starts. But the stars here are the artistic types (Not the pop-music singers)

Despite the slightly dodgy sounding name, this place is really cool. Like most pubs in Taipei it won't going until 9 pm. They play mostly alt rock and the DJ has a selection of what would seem to be over 4000 cds.
Good mix of locals and friendly expats. Quite a few vagrant English teacher types.
Good food too

I liked this market, because there were no snake restaurants, which were popular in other markets. The atmosphere of the place was good for women anyway. It had scores of stalls that sell many things, and you could bargain. They were mostly clothes for the young people and children. The quality was not good, though. It's a very nice place to stroll at night. It came really alive after 8:00 pm. As it is close to the Chienten MRT station, it might be a good chance to try MRT.

The tavern shows live premiership football from England, serves good beers and food, is well furnished and has free internet and about 50 mini TV screens dotted around the place!
