The restaurant serves not only German, but also world food. The dining space is big. The beer garden is especial good for sunny days. Bakery offers mainly healthy rye, grains and whole wheat German bread. If you like healthy bread, it's good choice, but the price is higher than the general bread.

Loosely translated as "metal egg" this is a speciality in danshui. The tie dan(metal egg) is basically an egg which was stewed extensively and reduced to the size of a quail egg. The egg feels rubbery and i personally do not find the egg tasty but do try at least one egg to get a taste of it since it is a speciality of danshui. I came across this by accident. I've only heard about this chain that's value for money and the food isn't too shabby at all. I visited the branch at Ren Ai Road which was 90% full at 8pm. My friend and I ordered a set meal each (mine's chicken and fish and prawns). The portion was too huge for me (bet the guys would love this place) but it was a great experience. Feels like at home when i'm out for a meal with friends - awesomely local.

People often talk about the big deep fried chicken cutlet in taiwan. This is one of the most popular street food in taipei. Do give it a try when in taipei. You can find it almost everywhere in taipei. The best chicken cutlet i have tried so far should be the one in shilin night market. This is specialty in Jiu Fen, "Yu Yuan" is make of sticky rice i think.. or maybe ... not sure.. is sticky like out chinese "tang yuan"... "Yu Yuan" make of Yam, and it purple in colour, the orange one make of sweet potato... We have tried 2 type, one in ginger soup, one in red bean soup.... wao! it taste really good! Leave a Comment
