MONKEY

In Launar calender, January 15th is the day Lantern Festival, which means the end of New Year traditionally. The Taipei City Government holds festival of lanterns during this days. It's also one of the most attractive carnival Taipei. This year is the year of monkey. So most of the lanterns here are designed to be monkey.
But it ended in 15th FEB for this time, please wait for 2005.
As for myself, I was born in mouse year.

Taipei Lantern Festival: During Jan 12 to 16 (Lunar New Year) is Chinese Lantern Festival. Usually Feb in solar calendar.
You can see hundreds of lanterns around CKS Memorial Hall. At the center of this place is the Main Lantern, with colorful lazer beam.
