Sky Lantern is a traditional activity in Pingxi area, Shifen being one of the most famous locations for tourists. Many believe that writing wishes on a lantern and release it to the sky will bring hopeful wishes! First, you need to buy a lantern in one of the shops in town. It costs NT$100 for a white lantern, and NT$150 for multicolor lantern. Then, they will hang the lantern on a pole so you can write your wishes there. When you are ready, they will help you to light the lantern and ready to release to the sky. Of course, taking a good photo for good memory is a must!
