This huge series of Monuments is a testament to the Megamania of dictator Chaing Kai-shek. The centerpiece is the CKS hall which is flanked by the National Theatre and National Concert hall. The park is accesed on on side by a massive gate.

National Theater

Also located at the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Park is the National Theater and National Concert Hall. Both buildings are tranditional chinese style and are beautiful to look at from outside. I have not been inside either building yet, but there are guided tours to both buildings on weekday afternoons.

Situated in the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, the National Chiang Kai-shek Cultural Center is comprised of two buildings – the National Theater and the National Concert Hall.

The National Theater is designed for performing Chinese opera, traditional Chinese folk arts, western opera, drama, ballet, and other dance forms.

Within the grounds of the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial are the National Theatre and the Concert Hall. The exterior design of the National Theater and Concert Hall is based on the traditional Chinese styles. The design of the National Theatre is based on the model of Ta-ho Hall, which is ranked the highest among all Chinese palaces. The National Concert Hall, is based on the Bao-ho Hall, which is ranked next to Ta-ho Hall.

Adjoining the Memorial hall on opposite sides of the square was the National Theatre and the National Concert Hall built in the Chinese style. There is a 25 ton bronze statue of the Generalissimo.

On the grounds of the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial. Only a 10-15 min walk from Taipei Train Station.
