First let us tell u how to get there in many ways. Bus 260 get these from ZHENGZHOU Road(this road directly is behind the Taipei Main Railroad Station)It comes almost every 10-15 mins. stay on the bus till the last stop. This park is somewhere in the northen part of Beitou. To these day these place is called the "GRASS MT.", they say it's covered with cogon, something that covers with cogon, a type of very tall course grass. There you will come across a flower clock which is a park landmark, broadcasts beautiful music every 30 mins. You will see and notice that the park has sorounded with colourful beautiful flowers, trees, shrubs and even cherry, plum, camellia and other beautiful flowers. We understood from someone that lives in these area when autumn is here, the leaves turn into maple colour, it even turns from green to very red colour. They bloom in bitter weather and brings a very special spirit to Yangmingshan park.

I happen to visit yang ming shan at towards the end of the flower festival and therefore am able to catch a glimpse of the almost withered cherry blossoms. Many locals visit yang ming shan during the flower festival (feb-mar) when both the flowers and cherry blossoms are in full bloom. During this period of time, yang ming shan will be bustling with activities from street perfomaces to potrait drawing. This would be the best time of all to visit yang ming shan.

Living in the city is kinda cool coz you can always get around easier and there are more shops around. But I think most people wouldn't mind a little trip away from the centre. Youn-Ming Mt. is one of the great spot to visit. It's not too far away from the city so you can get there easily.
It was a nice day when we went up there with a couple of our friends. It still looked a bit foggy. But imagine that was the first day we saw the sun after three weeks of bad weather.
We didn't make it to the top cause I was too lazy to walk longer.

A mountain in the city of taipei. We took a public bus in the morning to yangmingshan. On the way to the national park, you can see some schools along the hills.
There is a beautiful garden at the yangminshan national park. Unfortunately we went there during winter season and therefore unable to view the flower blossom.

Taipei city's air pollution is quite bad. For some fresh air, try trekking up the YangMing mountain. Qing XIng Mountain trail is a good chocie.
Before going, do check out the weather. I had no choice but to go on a rainy day. The conditions were not too good for trekking.
Furthermore, when I got up, I can't get a good view of Taipei city. It was too foggy.

The scenic national park is just door steps from Taipei. There are serveral hiking trails, hot springs and wildlife in the park.
Yangming Garden, located near the main bus stop, has lots of beautiful flowers that bloom in different seasons.

This is a gorgeous place. A national park with mountains all around and a hot spring rising through the mountains creating a mist in the air which makes it all the more stunning. Walk to the pavillion area to get a bird's eye view of the whole place and sit down for a while to take it all in and appreciate the breathtaking scenery!
