Budget Airline is Available......(From SG only)
  • Tip Rating:
  • Finally, budget airline is coming to Taiwan. Thanx to Jetstar Asia, now you can come to Taiwan from Singapore with very cheap fare. If you don't like service-free airlines, that's not a problem, Singapore Airlines, China Airlines now offer rather cheap ticket from Garden City to Fomorsa. Noramlly, if you book flight in advanced, it cost only about US$230, tax included. So, if you come to South East, why not come to Taipei to feel our passion and friendly citizens.
ps If you ever come to Taipei, wirte to me!!%f&

    Buses have changed!!
  • Tip Rating:
  • When I was a small kid, my grandma took me to visit her friends, go totemple, and buy something all moved by bus. It was the olny choice by that time being. Sometimes I had to wait ages for the coming of bus. However, that thing has become history.
With the development of MRT system, buses now aren't that important. Most of Taipeians take MRT more often than bus. But buses now ar much more comfortable to take than it used to be.
Now it has TV and electric imformation, passengers can realise where they are via the board. To encourge us use public transportation, people taking both MRT and bus within two hours can get a 50% off discount. Why not try!?

    Taipei MRT
  • Tip Rating:
  • Taipei's immensely convenient MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) is the easiest way to get around Taipei. Essentially, there are three main lines: Muzha (Brown), Yongning (Blue), and Danshui (Red). The Danshui Line splits up past the CKS Memorial Hall stop. There are also a few short lines, like the one leading to Xinbeitou. Prices are reasonable (You can get from SYS Memorial Hall to Danshui for just 55 yuan).

  • Tip Rating:
  • another great and inexpensive way to get around Taipei is the city bus!

I've never seen so many busses and motor scooters in my life! LOL!

The busses connect with the MRT stations, and you get a discount on bus fare, 50% off, if you ride the MRT also within two hours!

    MRT savings card!
  • Tip Rating:
  • This card is a great way to save money if you are going to be traveling on the MRT for a week or more.

You "buy" it by putting a small deposit which is refundable, then you just recharge it when you need to, and you get 20% off each trip you make!

Also with this card you get 50% off city bus fare if you connect within two hours!

And, all you have to do is swipe the card at the terminal station and you can see how much it costs for your trip and how much you have left!

    It's the way to go!
