Wang Pin - Wang Steak: To die for - One of the Best food and Service

If you want to be pampered, this is the place. Wang Steak is a bit pricey compared to other restaurants, but I assure you every dollar is well spent here. At Wang Steak, it cost 1300NT for a set meal, which includes Bread, Appetizer, Soup, Main Course, Fruits, Dessert, and Drink. Each dish has a minimum of four choices, so you can choose what you want. I have to say, not once has the food disappointed me.

The service they provide is of excellence. The waiters/waitresses will make sure you have the best time and ensure your table is clean and comfortable. Before the main course is served, they will clean up the bread crumbs and the mess you have made prior to serving your steak.

Wang Steak is available in many cities around Taiwan, so you can just look up their website and visit the nearest restaurant. Always call ahead of time to make reservation, or else majority of the time is it already full. You may also join their online membership to receive 10% off.

Favorite Dish: Wang Steak - The most tender steak I have ever ate.
Corn Soup with butter bread on top (Su pi nong tang) - The best butter break corn soup I have ever had.

Anywhere and everywhere: Pearl Milk Tea
kwipex10 profile photo

strange no one mentioned it - Pearl Milk Tea (Zhen Zhu Nai Cha). invented in Taichung and drunk prodigiously morning, noon and night by the locals.

it's a black tea mixed with creamer, added with tapioca balls and ice, and shaken vigorously.

you can specify the amount of sugar, the size of the tapioca balls. and there are a hundred variations on this tea.

note that the Taiwanese, like most Chinese, are milk intolerant. so anything 'milk' is creamer actually.

for a more exotic flavour try "May Li" short for "Suan May Li Cha", which is a sour plum infused green tea.

Wan-Fu Lau in Tainan: dumpling and fried dumplings

There are various Dumplings in Taiwan. Just eat the flavour you prefer. Green dumplings are made of vegetables, but i don't prefer it. It tastes too different than normal one. Still it looks pretty. Fried dumplings are delicious and also inexpensive in Taiwan. Spending US $1 to eat a set of fried dumplings for dinner is enough. Don't miss this restaurant if you're in Tainan.

Favorite Dish: Bean milk is free and fabulous~!!
