There're several food stands and restaurants around the train station providing local food. Actually,those are typical taiwanese food, but the vegetable and tea are worth trying.
The cost depends on which restaurant you choose. Not too expensive though.

The area I point out on the Taiwan map indicates the location of a-li-shan. It's close to Mt. Jade (Yu shan) , so you can even plan an extended trip to Yu shan forest park after you see sunrise!
