For those wishing to explore nearby Taipei can take the tain from Keelung to the Taiwanese capital. Trains are frequent and inexpensive and take about thirty minutes. The train station is situated directly next to the Port of Keelung. Train schedules can be found on the web link below.

There is a regular bus service from Taipei (nearby Sogo at Zhongxiao/Fuxing) to Jioufen. This is the quickest way from Taipei and takes about an hour, much of it driving on the freeway and a stop in Ruefang.

From Keelung train station there is a bus to Jioufen/Jinguashih, twice an hour. Takes about 45 minutes, with a lot of stops. Along the winding and climbing way you will pass through Ruefang.

It's also possible to go by train from Taipei to Ruefang on a southbound train and then take either of the buses. Just be careful which bus and direction you take from the bus stop in front of the Ruefang station.

Stop in Jinguashih is near 7-11, the weekend traffic is quite heavy, be prepared to stand part of the way.

Take the commuter train to Keeling. Frequency is 15 to 20 minutes.

Take note that you should take trains with Keelung as their final destination.
If not, you may find yourself in Taitung - a six hour journey from Keelung!!!

Haimentienshien 2000 Tear Drop 00 by storyin

Now I go to Keelung from Taipei ( Nei-hu ) by bus ,
about 30 minutes / 40 TWD .

After I arrive Keelung Station ,
I do not need to wait for local bus ...
Keelung is very small ,
on foot is ok .

On the way to Haimentienshien ,
drive a car is fast ,
but I can see butterfly if I take a walk .
