Favorite thing: A few of the traditional canoes lined up here... These boats are used mostly for festivals and local celebrations...
I'd like to get out to Orchid Island when one of these parties is going on, though. From the pictures I've seen, it does look to be quite the bash.... (Everyone wearing loin cloths, throwing the boats up and down, paddling out to hunt flying fish... and I'm sure the evening is capped off with a few cocktails to commemorate the event...)

Well, the firewater of choice amongst the natives out this way appears to be Whispie, which is a locally Taiwan produced concoction that could easily pass for bad cough syrup....
If you must drink it, try mixing it with beer, then it just tastes kinda like cheap rasberry soda, or the like....

Favorite thing: Look in a small crevice at Airport Rock, and you'll see not just a lion fish but also a large spotted eel.
Guess they have more critters than they have parking spaces out here...
