The most common way to get out to Green Island is to take the ferry from the port at Fukang on the main island. It takes about 50 minutes by boat.
Just be warned, the last time I went out, the seas were moderately choppy (nothing to write home about) and most of the passengers on the boat were puking there guts out.... Not a pretty sight...

IT is possible to fly out to Green Island. Small prop planes make the trip from Taitung on the main island. (only takes about ten minutes...)
At present there are five flights a day, all on Mandarin Airlines...

Scootering is the only way to get around the island... You can rent one for about $10 USD per day down at the port or in town. Takes about 30 minutes or so to circle the island...
