Jibei Island is the biggest of the north marine region in the Penghu group of Islands. The area is about 3.1 square kilometers in size. In the West a golden bay stretching for thousands of meters in arc shape into the sea; which forms a delightful contrast with the blue sky and green sea. The beautiful sandy beach is suitable for swimming, dabbling, diving and enjoying the scene of the setting sun, resembling the Hawaii holiday resort. Jibei Water Park is in Baishawei on the southwest island. The many colorful holiday log cabins on the bay decorate Jibei with the flourishing tropical fine taste.

sunnywong 2410 reviews

The curious pillar-like basalt forms a slender sea-eroded ditch because of the erosion of the seawater for years. It's famous for that the rumbles of the tide water rushing to shore can resound through the skies. The rumbles and the column of tide water and the swirling seawater are called "Three Big Curious Scenes" of the old fish village. Nearby there's a Lingying Wenwang Palace. A rare Royal Ship more than 10m in length is set in it.

2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

sunnywong 2410 reviews

Syitai Ancient Fort built in 1887, ranked as class-1 ancient remains. The cannon stand which was once known as Syitai Gubau Pautai (Syitai Ancient Cannon Stand) is at the most front and is the largest and most powerful of Penghu. This fort is well ventilated and has good lighting. Make an ascent of the arched passage, and look around you can seem to feel gallant and stately, and the national spirit of which the brave defenders guarded against the bandits. This Fort is the witness of the history of Penghu and the foreign relations.

This Gate is the only preserved one in the six gates built in Ching dynasty, in Magung City; and is ranked as class-2 ancient remains. On the arched gate there's a tower from where a complete distant view of the sea at the Magung harbor can be taken clearly. Around the gate are the old and exuberant banyan trees.
