One special custom in Ping Hsi is that they are flying the sky lantern at the Lantern Festival (Jan 15 on the lunar calender). The sky lantern was made of the paper on the structure of the thin wire. They heat the lantern through the opening at the botomn to raise them into the sky. There are some wishes written on the lanterns. It was very suprizing to see many laterns flying in the sky at the Lantern Festival.
I walked by one house in Shi Feng Village. It was decorated with many models of the sky lanterns. The exact sky lantern is with the bigger size. It is about the same size of a man.
