Locals

One of the best in Ping Hsi, I believed it is a great experience to take the local train.

Although you can see the train has been renew and turn it into a very colorful look, but the people's life at PingHsi still remain the same.

Travellers can still see locals travel in the daily life style despite the development of tourist attaction.

Personally, to see the local life, to talk with the local people (not in English though), and eat local food is one of the fun experience of travel.

I don't know where and when is this custom started, I've never heard about it before, but I saw it hanging at Qing Tong station, the last station of Ping Hsi railway.

Do you believe it? do you think the wish will come true? If you believe it, then take a bamboo, write down your wish and hang it at Qing Tong station.

The view on the highway

Si Ping Highway connects Si Jir and Ping Hsi. This highway was built over a hill. On the top of the hill, you can have a great view of the Si Jir, Keelung and the Pacific Ocean. The scenery of the hill itself is also very beautiful.

Old Hanging Bridge

Shi Feng Village was a railway stop. The houses in this village were built very close to the railroad. There was an old hanging bridge near the railway station to connect to the other side of the river. The Shi Feng Falls nearby is the biggest falls in Taiwan.
