Danshui Fisherman's Wharf is located further downstream from the town itself and offers a boardwalk, chic coffee shops, a slightly pricey seafood restaurant. Outdoor concerts are sometimes held in the amphitheater. Really enjoyable to take a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk & enjoy the scenery & fresh air.
Danshui Fisherman's Wharf features the white "Lover's Bridge". It is a single slanted tower cable stay pedestrian bridge, that is modeled after a sailing ship's mast and rigging, spans the harbor. The bridge's illumination changes color at night, making this area a favorite with local couples and romantics.
Danshui Waterfront is bustling with activity. It is a popular location for viewing the sunset. The Danshui Ferry Pier are located near the north end of the waterfront area and offer ferries across the river to Bali Township, as well as Danshui Fisherman's Wharf further north. Tickets run around NT$50 to Fisherman's Wharf. Located along the Danshui River, walk along the waterfront and try the food vendors which are located up and down the strip.
Danshui Old Street is a bustling street integrating ancient relics with delicious foods. All delicious foods are very popular among people. Food tasting available on this area. Try their fish balls, shrimp rolls, sour plums soup and fish crisp.
Sight View Pavilion is one of the beautiful spots found within Yangmingshan National Park. It is huge perfect for strolling. Unfortunately, we were not able to do so coz we were pressed for time. This pavilion is near the bus stop for our trip back to the city.
Yangmingshan Park planted with various kinds of flowers, attracting large number of tourists. The park grounds are vast. Expect to walk quite a bit. This is a famous spot not only for tourists but also for the locals.
Plenty of flower shops can be found along the road in Zhuzhihu. The shops sell plenty of varieties of flowers & other foliage. We even saw cactus being displayed with adornments. Really very attractive and colorful inside the shop.
Yangmingshan is popular for its calla lily plantations found in Zhuzhihu (Bamboo Lake). This place is a "must-see". Visit the white calla lily farms. When we went there, it was raining & windy. Inspite of our jackets, we were still freezing cold. So bring thick jackets for sufficient protection.
Yangminshan Flower Clock is located in Yangming Park. The park contains all kinds of flowers, and attracts large crowds of visitors during the Taipei Flower Season. This is recommended for all floral enthusiasts.
Zhuzhihu (Bamboo Lake) is a "must-see" when going to Yangmingshan. There you can stroll among the calla lily plantations which are abundant in the area. Plenty of shops along the street selling various kinds of flowers & other plants. Cheap restaurants also abound the place.
