venues in Khojand: Khojand night life

by Saagar

The night life scene was best and most prominent in Tajikistan's economic capital, Khojand. This was the city where there were restaurants, bars and other night life open well into the evening. Otherwise, nightlife in Tajikistan seems to be confined to homes. The centre of Khojand and the main roads had open street markets, people sitting in the parks late, an outdoor restaurant scene etc. Dress up for an event, or happening place; stay informal if the purpose is limited to a drink and some food in a regular place.

Actually, time here is spent in the company of family and friends. The Tajiks are wonderful story tellers, and also enjoy the silence of rustic life. This is a picture of a young girl in front of a mud oven. I hope her future gets brighter. The SKY, it is so full of stars!

National dances of Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan often have elements of Indian dance.
