Last night I saw a bunch of tourists get ripped off going into Spicy GoGo in Soi Sea Dragon with 800 baht first drink!!
When they agrued about the ridiculous price they were threatened by the touts with "we have big mafia" logic.
Spicy GoGo directly colludes with these 'mafia' touts.. by advertising "Second drink" prices...
My suggestions: Avoid touts.. avoid Spicy GoGo

Simons Caberet is a well known 'ladyboy' show, held in a very big theatre in Patong. You'll see adverts everywhere for it and lots of 'offers' of trips to see a show. There are two shows a day, one at 19:30 and one at 21:30. My wife said she really wanted to go so we booked tickets through the rep at our hotel. Tickets are around £18 each. The set and costumes are very good, a lot of work has gone into them. The performers however, range from 'very good', of which a couple were very good, to 'really can't be bothered' which was about 30% of them. It's such a professional looking set up but the actual performance is very very amateur and many of them obviously do notenjoy what they do!! Unfortunately you see all the real enthusiasm after the show as you leave the theatre.....many of the performers line up by the exit where you can have a photo taken with them, and you will have to pay and if you don't pay what they want, they will shout at you! We stood and watched people having photos taken for a few minutes and I have to say, I wish the 'Katoeys' (Ladyboys) had put half of that effort into the performance!! It's just not worth the money.
