Saensuk Palace is off the beaten track because it is away from the beach, which is the focus of most of the activities in Bang Saen.
This is the one of the strangest places of worship I have ever seen. There is a monastery and a big statue of Buddha which is conventional enough, but the section of the complex which is the most puzzling is the "hell for wrongdoers"
They have attempted to depict all of the worst human actions, e.g. murder, enslavement, infanticide, cannibalism and several others. The dominant features are two 4 meter tall figures reperesenting the depravities of humanity. Gees! You'll need a drink after you visit this place!
Saensuk Palace is on Bang Saen 2 Road, Soi 19.
