Fondest memory: Now we knew that Wat Rajanadda at Mahajessadabodin Pavilion ground is also Wat Ratchanatdaram. This temple has Buddha relic in it and was said to be famous for their Buddha amulets & magic charms.
We passed by this place every time we took the boat. We can’t remember the name of the road but we know that this place is very near to Phan Fa Pier & Democracy Monument.
We like the structure of the small pavilion but just can’t figure out what was written in Thais in front of the pavilion (We thought it was a temple) so we have to ask Patt (Pattayaraj) since she was a local expert.

Favorite thing: I went to these attractions, elephant show , crocodile show and calypso cabaret, all attractions including food. Show was terrible as well as the food. Better not ask travel agents because they will tell you all the goodies for them to get commissions with every attractions you book with them. Only thing I like about Bangkok is shopping and the food is cheap as well.

Favorite thing: The weather is usually very hot, but you can't wear shorts in a temple. So, bring along a few pairs of zip off pants. You can wear them as shorts outside, and just zip on the legs when you enter a temple.

Favorite thing: The details on the buildings within each of the temple compounds I visited were spectacular. The figures guarding the sub-temples and main temple at Wat Phra Keow were colourful and sparkled in the sun. At Wat Arun, there was a milkiness and chinaware look about everything. The bright orange roof tiles of Wat Pho will stay in my mind.

Favorite thing: If you come to Bangkok and don't see a Wat (temple) then there is something wrong with you. For those who are normal, though, there are certain guidlines you should follow when entering temples.
The strictness of rules changes with the level of importance of the temple you are visiting.
At the Royal Palace, no bare shoulders or shorts should be worn. Men can sometimes get away with more than women (HA HA!!) Generally, if your knees are covered, you will be fine.
Don't point, and don't point your feet towards the buddha in a temple when you kneel down. The head is considered closest to heaven and good, the feet the furthest and bad.
Shoes off
Women never "tempt" the monks!! Don't touch or hand anything to them.
Never be above a Buddha, and never touch a shrine.
Be respectful and the Thai people will respect you back. Be an idiot, and I hope they put you in a Muay Thai ring...

Favorite thing: Located south of the Dusit Zoo, this temple is famous for its Italian marble floors and walls. The interior is richly decorated and it host a large collection of bronze Buddha as well as a turtles pond. Open daily 9 to 17.
