Internet Cafes, Bangkok
Allmost everywhere in Bangkok you can use True wifi, but the page to register is now in Thai only, but if you are willing to pay those pages are in english as well.
There are a lot of other places like your accomodation, restaurants, drinking places etc. with free wifi (some without the need to register) in Bangkok.
Internet is also widely available with internet cafes throughout Bangkok (they charge 40-50 Baht per hour for broadband connections) and other cities. All main tourist area also have enough internet facilities.
Most hotels and apartments have free Wifi (Wireless internet) for their customers But only up to two hours per session and you must get a pass card at the concierge for it) and Starbucks is always nearby. Pocket Wifi cards can be purchased from the 7-Eleven, for around 800 baht and you get 30 hours of internet connection. Instructions are included with the package but don't expect the connection to be fast
Favorite thing: don't use the Hotels computer for internet access they are outrageously expensive, go accross the street or a few steps down the road. Internet cafes are everywhere in Bangkok, in an internet cafe you can get 30mins for 15c AUD. This will cost you $6.00 for 15 minutes in the hotel

Favorite thing: Internet Cafes are everywhere in Bangkok. However, the best place is called The Email Place. It is located in the Times Square shopping centre on Sumkuvit Road. Amazingly fast internet connection, they also have multi-media readers to can email some photos from your digital camera to your mates on the road.
