    The Friendly Thais

Favorite thing: The Food!!! It's sumptuous and with painstaking efforts to make them look appetizing. The people are generally friendly to foreigners(Phalangs they call them, which means the white men). So you got it, when you look like a Thai (which I do, being a Filipino), they treat you like one of them - not so special, that is.

Fondest memory: The Shopping part! Goodness, this is one place that offer you almost everything you want at prices you can really afford. But, you gotta have some bargaining skill. Prices can be slashed down to as much as 50% off. It's better to start shopping in the early morning, when stores have just opened. Prices dip to their lowest during this time. You shouldn't miss out on their weekend sale (yes, there's bound to be a sale during each weekend) especially those of Wacoal for the ladies. You'd be able to get a bra for about 180-200 baht a piece. Hewlett packard products are also very cheap as these are made in thailand or the nearby Malaysia. Go to MBK - the shopper's paradise.

    Movie..

Favorite thing: It was quite ean ye-opening to watch movie in Bangkok. I was watching this movie called 'the sin 2' in MBK's cinema. Initially I thought it is an unpopular english movie, but then discovered it is a thai movie.

It was an R21 rated-movie where many naked part are shown. However, the cinema allowed people from different ages- i saw kids and teenagers below 18 watching this movie. Hmm.. are the movies in Thailand cinema being categorized into different category??..

For those who interested, the movie tix in Bangkok is 120B, which is actually more expensive than malaysia..

  • Coin operated Video Karaoke

Favorite thing: When hubby want to watch a movie, we went in MBK for their SF Cenima. Unfortunately, we already saw those movies. They change movies 2 to 3 weeks, too bad! But we ended up in the Coin operated Video Karaoke which you have a room for yourself. You can shout and sing whatever songs you want to play. Its a computer operated, you will just browse and find your favorite songs and then drop a 10 baht coin and click it! A minimum of 4 to 5 people in the room.

Fondest memory: I find it funny at first but due to the needs of me to sing(I'm a music lover and love to sing), I had the chance to just shout,hehehe;-)

Fondest memory: Bangkok is a shoppers paradise and one of the most reasonably priced and varied department stores is MBK. Getting there is easy. Just catch the Sky Train to the National Stadium station and you can't miss it.

Favorite thing: Do shopping!! Shop till you drop at Bangkok's World Trade Centre, which has big departmental stores like Isetan,Zen.The World trade Centre is also near to the Planet Hollywood Bangkok and Hard Rock Cafe bangkok,it's within walking distance.Make sure that you have enough cash with you because not all shops accept credit cards(But in departmental stores, yes, they accept)YOu can also do your shopping at Mahboonkrong, which is a big shopping complex-yes,really big,you can never finish shopping in the complex in one day.You will need about 3 days to finish shopping:))Here there are many cheap buys, especially T-shirts,souvenirs and other accessories. You can also bargain with the vendor at 40% off the original price of the product. In fact in this place it's a tradition to bargain...

Fondest memory: Shopping and the desserts of Thailand. The desserts are very sweet here but they're simply delicious, most of the desserts are made with coconut milk...hmmm.Those who have a sweet tooth will love it!
