Khao San Road at night...what an experience! Mixed people and cultures, fake CD's of Western music, watermelon shake at the Sidewalk cafe...you have to go there! But trying to sleep in a guesthouse there is very difficult because of the noise!
I was in my guesthouse reading on KSR 'The beach', and the first sentence of the book is 'The first time I heard about the Beach was on Khao San Road'...that's it, I'm Leonardo! ;-)
Have a beer and recover from your possible jetlag. There are plenty of nice guesthouse bars around Khao San Road where you really can sit back and watch all the funny looking people...
