    Patpong: Decent Bars in Patpong!

by machomikemd Written Oct 12, 2012

This tip will be about the Decent Bars and lounges at the Patpong 1 area. Like what I've said, Patpong is now sort of gentrified with the night markets surrounding and partially covering the girly and honky tonk bars at Patpong and also, there are now a proliferation of Decent Bars and Lounges side by side with the girlie bars! Some of these trendy DJ Bars that are not sex orients are the Twilo hip hop bar boasts two live bands every night, and is very popular with both tourists and local Thais. Also, Muzzik Cafe has been completely renovated and is a very popular live music bar playing a mixture of Rock, Hip hop and Pop. Next to Twilo is Funky Dojo with DJs regularly playing both club and house music. There are other decent bars at the Patpong 2 and 3 and 4 areas and hence like what I'v said before, the area is sort of gentrified!

these bars closes at 1:00 am and they offer assorted local and international drinks from 125 baht and up and you can meet lots of western and thai girls there too (not the sex workers ok).

Dress Code: Casual, Smart casual. flip flops and shorts are allowed in some bars!

    Muzzik Cafe: Muzzik Cafe

by pmarshuk Updated Sep 18, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Right in the middle of Patpong on Patpong 1 is the Muzzik Cafe. This is almost a normal pub with live music and dancing by customers on the small dance floor. It doesn't have have of the usual bar girls found in Patpong - but it does get a fair share of 'freelancers'. but in general it's an escape from the blatent sex in the area. It can get very crowded and there are tables outside where you can just watch the crowds while drinking your Singha.
