You should visit Patpong both for shopping and Bars. Make hard bargain before buy anything, in thailand you will always think that you could buy with a better price. Do not hesitate enter one of the A Go Go Bar and enjoy the night.

There's a few night bazars in Bangkok. I think the most familiar is Patpong where you can find go-go bars where mostly young Thai girls "dance" at the table. You can find some sad faces when you look at those young ladies making their "performances" there. This is a very touristy place. Also there's street vendors selling pirate watches, handbags, t-shirts etc. You have to bargain very hard! This is also an easy place to be a victim of very professional con. Free entrance show/go-go bars with cheap drink offers are just that,until you buy a drink that is. I thought i was clued up and believed the doorman when he said it was free show ,only to find that my bill for one beer was 400 baht! 100 for beer and 300 for show.He denied this of coarse,so beware. Straight out of Blade Runner, Patpong is your best dream and worst nightmare rolled into one. A seething mass of market stalls, selling everything you could want ( I will never forget being asked, 'You Want a Bengal Tiger?') aswell as the usual perfect relica counterfeit goods at give away prices. Surrounded by the infamous bars and clubs of Patpong, containing Women gyrating in just their Skimpies and offering 'Special Services'. Not for the faint hearted, but good for a laugh.
