This will be my nightlife tips on the famed Sirocco Restaurant and Sky Bar, The Setting of my favorite Hangover II Movie!
The Sirocco Restaurant and Skybar was the favorite of the big spending tourists and locals since the early 2000's when it opened but it's popularity Skyrocketed when the Movie Hangover II was made partly in this location! Both the Restaurant has overflow crowds every night and the spill over crowd is left at the Distil Bar and Lounge, located just one floor above the grand flight of stairs (where the stars of the Hangover II had their iconic picture taken) and sorry, they don't allow picture taking at the stairs! They have a live jazz band and singers playing at the top from 7:30 pm to 12:00 am. The Sky Bar and the Sirocco Restaurant is located side by side but only in the restaurant that you need advanced reservations (at least two weeks in advance). The priced of the drinks and meals here are Sky High like the chef's tasting menu will cost 150 US Dollars per person without the drinks and the beers and cocktails will cost more then 400 baht per bottle or glass.
Opens: 6:00 pm to 1:00 am (both Sirocco Restaurant and Sky Bar).

A romantic dinner cannot be any better, with the sun setting or starry sky and the evening lights adding to the heightened lovely atmosphere. If you are looking for a business dinner to end a round of successful meetings and deals, Sirocco sure stands out towering above other locations. It will be a memorable dinner for your business partners, associates, clients and suppliers – dining under the sky before adjourning to the Skybar for a few drinks.
Located on the 63rd floor of The Dome at lebua, Sirocco is the world's highest al fresco restaurant and one of Bangkok's most coveted dining choices. It never fails to leave one mesmerized with a breathtaking view of Bangkok and the Chao Phraya river, an amazing Skybar and quality Mediterranean fare with ingredients from the world's best markets. Live jazz music featuring vocalists of international repute, adds to its captivating ambiance for a perfect evening.

Part two of my two part tip with pictures of the night views of the distil bar.
The Sirocco Restaurant and Sky Bar is always packed with tourists that reservations for the restaurant is a must and being early for the drinks at the sky bar is a must too! Distil Bar is located just beside the famous Sirocco Restaurant and Sky bar at the 64th floor of the State Tower at Lebua and opens early at 5:00 pm and if the Sky Bar is crowded (it opens at 6:00 pm), this bar will be your alternative to go as they offer almost the same views of the Bangkok Skyline (but off course, they have the same drinks selections as the sky bar and the same prices but the meals here are different than at Sirocco and they have a wine cellar too.) plus they have a free live band here that plays house and trance and lounge music. There is no entrance fee.
opens: 5:00 pm to 1:00 am
the prices of the drinks here is astronomical so that if you are a back packer, then forget it! a bottle of Chang beer is at 330 baht, Asahi beer at 420 baht, Tiger beer at 340 baht, San Miguel beer at 340 Baht. the specialty cocktails like the Hangovertini, Velvet, Distil or Black Pearl at 570 baht a glass and regular cocktails loke mai thai, pina colada, screwdriver or tom collins at 450 to 550 baht a glass

Distil
Every aspect of Distil reflects purity in its most elementary form. A choice of the most premium and authentic malt whiskies, vodkas and Cognacs are offered here. A unique feature of the restaurant is the Oyster Bar. Fine de Claire Oysters, Iranian Caviar and fresh sushi and sashimi present a delightful selection, along with the finest champagnes and wines from a walk-in wine cellar. Hand-rolled authentic Cuban Cigars are yours to enjoy together with drinks in the adjoining open-air Cigar Terrace. Enjoy the company of the cool set at this hottest chill out spot in Bangkok.
The chosen venue for the high flyers and for those of us craving a place to enjoy that one cigar amidst the perfect surrounding, Distil stands out in this aspect alone. Throw in the oysters and caviar, we move up one notch.

On the 64th floor of Bangkok's highest biulding, Sirocco is a excellent place for fine dining in the cool night breeze. Alternately you can also enjoy the bar Distil....very good choice in alcohol but a little limited.

This is 1 of only 2 in the whole of Thailand that offers an al fresco atmosphere, on the TOP FLOOR OF A BUILDING, no less!
Sirocco is where you can have your dinner and move to the adjoining bar afterwards, to have some drinks while you check out the "nghtscapes" of Bangkok. It feels like you have a 360 degree view of the whole city.
When you go next door to its neighbour, Distil, then, you really get the feeling that they don't want you to leave as they have these HUGE, comfy sofas and the breeze, whew, is it endless!!
The only drawback to this place is you must book a week in advance if you intend to have dinner there (but not necessary if going just for drinks) and if it rains, you make a run for it!
The other al fresco top-of-building nightspot is at The Banyan Tree Bangkok's Vertigo, but according to a friend, loses out to Sirocco.

Samrt casual was fine for me but most caucasians went in suits, shirts and ties. So, if you don't want to stand out like a sore thumb like me...!
