Luggage and bags: I always make it a point to bring a large but ultra light luggage in any of my travels, both near and far as you would not know if you would buy a lot of stuff at your destination or not and it is better to come prepared! I also bring a foldable bag with stroller inside the luggage bag of mine as to take advantage of the 7 kilos (16 pound) allowance every airlines allows you to hand carry. these foldable bag awith strollers are better than the carry on bags as you can just stroll them instead of carrying them and make you shoulder sore! And the best deal is that you don't need to buy an extra bag for you shopping stash if you bring these extra floldable bags or strollers!

Jus a compact one unless u intend to go sightseeing.
Luggage and bags:
If you plan on coming to Bangkok, please bring as few items as you possibly can. I can't stress this enough! Bangkok is a shopper's heaven and even if you don't enjoy shopping you will still find yourself filling up your bag with goodies that you have purchased.
I've done many trips to Bangkok and i always take almost no clothes with me. You can buy them so cheap over in Bangkok that you shouldn't waste your time and energy lugging them all the way from home and then finding out you have to leave half of them in Bangkok, because you no longer want them!
A Bangkok Travel Guide by Thaistyle
Luggage and bags:
You do not even need a luggage... Everything can be bought on site... Everything is cheap and most important, the majority of shops sell unique pieces, which means you do not go out and find 3 other women with the same top.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
There are shoes and clothes to every taste here. Do not bring any... apart from the ones you're wearing on the trip...
Toiletries and Medical Supplies:
There are lots of 7/11 shops so you can find almost anything here.
Photo Equipment:
Buy digital here...
Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear:
not sure...
Luggage and bags:
Remember that most airlines only allow you to bring home 20kg stored luggage and 7 kg carry on luggage (although the rules have recently changed on carry on from and to some destinations)
Your cheap shopping can become very expensive if they charge you for excess luggage.....
Luggage and bags:
Depending on what you would buy.. i ended up taking home 2 bags with me from the initial 1..
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Wear light and loose clothing.. weather here is hot but if you are planning to go to temples and the palace, proper clothing is required.. no short or sexy clothings, proper shoes too.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies:
Bring along some diarrhea pills just in case your stomach doesnt agree with Thai food.. luckily for me... i had no problems... phew !
Luggage and bags:
If you love to shop like I do, you should take as big bag as you can. It should be empty when you arrive because it's going to be full when it's time to leave this marvellous shopping city.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Bangkok is always very humid and hot and therefore I recommed to take many t-shirts and strapless tops, shorts and skirts. Great shoes are also essential because the traffic in Bangkok is jammed and I personally prefer to walk in the city. The distances are not so long if you choose an area which you want to explore. If you are going to visit the shopping malls you can prepare to cool air because they are always well air-conditioned. I was freezing in some of the malls and therefore I was carrying the shirt with sleeves with me. Altough you have to remember that you cannot enter into some of the wats f.ex. in strap tops.
Toiletries and Medical Supplies:
A face water or some kind of atomiser is good to have, because you can cool yourself with it when the heat is on.
You can find any kind of toiletries and medicines from Bangkok in cheap prices.
Luggage and bags:
A mostly empty bag is what I bring. Generally you can find new clothe quite easily at the many markets and stores.
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
If heading to the beaches, flip flops or sandals, but again, you can buy them locally.
Photo Equipment:
You might want to bring a few zip lock bags, handy for keeping your camera and sim cards... dry
Miscellaneous:
Quad band GSM phone, you can pick up prepaid sim cards at 7/11.
Luggage and bags:
Big Bag
Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear:
Easy Walking Shoes, Sports Saddles would be great
Miscellaneous:
Why's my title 'Don't Bother?
Bcos Bangkok is a place whereby you can get anything and everything. Dun bother bringing your shades, cos it's so cheap over at bangkok, it'll cost around 180 -200 Baht, T-shirts? gosh, it's cheap, you can buy so much! If you are a woman, god bless! the lingerie in bangkok, esp wacoal is very cheap!!
Thus you don't have to spend so much time and effort packing. Just pack your sense of humour, the energy to shop til you drop and a big heart to get ready to soak in bangkok's unique culture!
