    Do not bring any clothes

by largerama Written Jan 28, 2006

Luggage and bags: A big one to fill up

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: NONE - They are cheaper here. Especially on the Saturday market next to Mochit Sky Train

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: NONE - Cheaper here. There are Tescos everywhere with brand names.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: NONE - They are cheaper here. Try Ko San Rd or market listed above

Miscellaneous: Who brings Miscellaneou with them?!?!?

    Dress up time!

    by travelagent4thailand Updated Mar 24, 2003

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: cool designer back packs and in style bags and luggages: Louis Vutiion, Prada, or simply no name brands without flashy logos are excellent!

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: this is the place to get dressed up and be noticed!

WOMEN: this is the place where you can put on your favorite silk tops and linnen shorts and sarongs....please be discreet. sensuality is always great, but there's a fine line between sexy and offensive nakedness.

bring that favorite black sphagetti strap dress from DKNY or Gucci that you have saved up for....get dressed up and hit the jazzy joints! you'll be noticed.

MEN: that silk or linen white shirt (assorted shirts are great too!) and that no plead pants in grey or khaki are sure to suit you up....clean shaved are always better.

lastly, pack light cause this is shopping haven! you can get all your outfits tailored made!

bring light rain jacket in the rainy season...and a pair of good old moccassin for the men and water proof sandals for the disceerning ladies.

light knit sweater or a light jacket can always go handy in the winter....

remember, this is the city of angels and you'll be watched in style!

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: light perfume and cologne for men...

remember humidity kills, extra deodorant can help...

lots of pharmacies here, no worries on medicine.

    Photo Equipment: bring it all....

digital, 8M, 35M, antique cameras, good cameras....lots of films and photo taking equioments available here....

    remember to say 'cheese'

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: no camping in bangkok

Miscellaneous: a good pair of walking shoes.....

    extra help of undies....go figure

    Packing List

    by l_joo Written Aug 25, 2002

    1.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: Here is what you will get in Bangkok (The North Face) cost only 200 baht. The backpack size 60 is only 750 baht (Good immitation work). Other brands you can get here are: ECKO, Jack Wolfskin, Lowe Alpine, Timberland, Adidas, Nike and many more. So don't be surprised to see many tourists carrying two backpacks of these brand names but be careful with it's quality, double check before you pay your money. They also have good immitation shoes of Timberland, etc, and last, make sure you pack a bottle of water from Thailand cost 5 baht.

Luggage and bags: A big one with plenty of space.

    Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Hiking

Miscellaneous: Bangkok has such a diverse range and quality of shopping that it is better to leave your own stuff at home and to buy it here. There are Western shops where you can buy the expensive designer gear or plenty of stalls where good quality conterfeits are available.
