Miscellaneous: if you have a fair complexion and is afraid of getting sun burned or having an accidental tan when walking around the hot and humid bangkok area, then it is best to bring sun block lotion or spray with you that is small and portable so that you can splash it easily to your face, neck, shoulers and hand! you can do this every 2 hour interval to lessen the chance to get a sun burn or a tan. but if you are going to the beaches like pattaya or phuket or krabi or koh samui, then bring a larger container of sunblock! as you would use it more often!

Small toys for children instead of candy

by NoelCricket Written Nov 27, 2006

Luggage and bags: If your doing a tour package deal and doing about 2 weeks 2 pieces of luggage should be sufficient.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Comfortable tennis shoes, couple pair of shades. A backpack for every day escursions . Wear long Sleeve and cover your head with a hat. I dont recommend shorts (mosquitos). It us pretty hot all year round.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Tylenols wipeys vaseline, and plenty of sunblock.

Photo Equipment: Digital camera shoud be sufficient. Or a disposable camera is fine.

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: A small foldable umbrella is nice for the unexpected showers

Miscellaneous: If travelling to Northern Thailand Chang Mai , Chang Rai, Golden Triangle area I brought a Bunch of little toys for the kids ,Little dolls, action figures and the such,. I gave them away instead of handing the kids money or candy and I think they enjoyed this more than the money ;for the parents probably collect it from them... This gives them a little time to enjoy their childhood

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: dress for warm weather...shorts, sleeveless tops, t-shirts, a hat, sandals, etc. anything that will combat the heat.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: SUNSCREEN!! you'll probably do a lot of walking outside and without sunscreen, before you know it, you could be fried :-)

Photo Equipment: lots of memory for your digital camera and extra batteries. almost everything in bangkok is a photo opportunity.

    WHAT TO PACK FOR BANGKOK?

    by mamasan69 Updated Nov 4, 2004

    3.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: Sturdy, and lockable luggage/bags should be included for sure. Certain places in Bangkok provide "razor artists" easy picking for getting into your pack, without you even knowing. Crowded streets, buses, and trains are bad spots for this as you are usually bumping/contacting others at some point.

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: Light, loose fitting clothing, and comfortable but light footwear.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: Besides the usual, a small medical kit might not be a bad idea to include.

Photo Equipment: Anything that can record all of what you will experience in Bangkok.

    Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Sunscreen and sunglasses

    Sarong

by stedeb Updated Jun 2, 2003

    2.5 out of 5 starsHelpfulness

Luggage and bags: a back pack or soft bag as opposed to a suitcase much easier especially if travelling independently

Clothing/Shoes/Weather Gear: A sarong is a must it can be used as a towel, put on the seat on the bus, train or ferry as most are slippery vinyl. Can also be used on the beach if you don't want to pay for a sun bed!!! can also be used to shade yourself from the sun. They have a hundres uses and I would never travel without one.

Toiletries and Medical Supplies: sun block and insect repellent.

    Sun Screen and Sun Glasses

    by Ewingjr98 Updated Jun 20, 2004
    Joe at Wat Phra Keo

Camping/Beach/Outdoor Gear: Bring sun screen and sun glasses. A hat would have been useful as well. This is me getting sunburned, squinting like a blind man, and sweating...
