A great break from Asian food - with what must be the world's friendliest staff!
Not a huge menu, but varied and interesting, and pretty much everything including light, fresh spongy crepes.
Service is prompt and attentive, and unfailingly charming.
Favorite Dish: I was sorely tempted to go for their variation on my favourite, eggs benedict, but twice in 1 day would not be good for the waistline so I had the Moroccan crepe - filled with soft, tender chicken, fried onions, nuts and cramy honey.
With that, the most exquisite mango lassi, just the refreshment needed after a morning in the Bangkok sun!
We had a good dinner at Crepes and Co. I have been eating Thai food for former 3 days, so I didnt mind a little change. One crepe was enough for each of us, along with a pair of salads to share. They also offer all kind of Mediterranean specialities, even Spanish tapas. Delicious sweet crepes as dessert. The bill amounted 4300 baths for 6 people. I know it is not cheap for Thai standards, but the place is really nice, good ambience (both Thai and Western people) and we enjoyed it very much. You can get here taking Skytrain to Asoke, and then taking Sukhumvit soi 12. You will see Cabbages and Condoms restaurant and go on walking (there must be... perhaps 600 mts. from the beginning of the soi). It is rather dark, but safe.
This is a beautiful restaurant serving a huge range of food. We went here for a sunday brunch. The place is famous for crepes of course. Lots of savory and sweet crepes. You can also go for the large set brunch, which is a ton of yummy food for around 500 Baht. The menu is of European origin. The waiters look like they are straight of Paris, with their stripped shirts, bistro aprons and berets. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner. This place is very popular with locals and expats. So i highly recommend reservations, otherwise you may have to wait for a table. They also have a lovely garden, so i would recommend an outdoor table if you can get it.
Also, this place is very popular with families and is child friendly. In the waiting area, there are racks of magazines for the adults and toys for the kids to play with. There is a special children's menu.
One thing I love most about Bangkok restaurants is that there is so much green around you when you walk in that you almost forget how hot it is.
Crepes and Company has tables in the garden and inside the restaurant, the staff is friendly and although spoken english is limited, they always seem to understand what we say and they get our orders right :-)
The best part about the restaurant is that it's just a stone's throw away from my friend's apartment in soi 12.
Favorite Dish: Crepes, bacon, french toast, coffee...all good!
The First Creêprie in Bangkok and probably in Asia - offering the most traditional French Snacks, more than 50 Savoury Crêepes and 40 Sweet Crêepes. The restaurant is set in an old Thai house with tropical garden. The interior looks very peaceful and cosy, as well as the shady garden. Just making me feel like to hang out there all day really :)
Favorite Dish: Crepe Suzette, Crepe Supreme, Crepe Tuna and Crepe Monsier
