    I've heard varying opinions on which mall has the best food court but because we were already there during the lunch hour, we ate at the MBK Food Centre . Here, they employ a coupon system like in the Suan Lum night bazaar. You exchange your money for coupons and whatever is not used may be redeemed later. Usually 150 Baht ($ 4) is enough for a substantial meal, drink and dessert. There are some stalls though that only accept cash like the one we bought our catfish salad from.

  • Loads of different food available at the food court. If u think the food court food don't suit u, there are loads of restuarants available too! Everything starts from 25 baht onwards (for a bowl of soup!)

    Love their pork noodle soup with chillis!

    This is located within the MBK shopping Mall and is a very large foodcourt which is very popular with Thai's for it's variety of Thai dishes. Foodcourt works on coupon system and is open for lunch and dinner. If you want something quick, easy, and authentic then this is a great place to have something to eat in between shopping. There is a little place making Thai waffles on the outskirts of the food court. They have different flavours like Maple, Walnut, and Chocolate. Try them they are delicious.

    Too many dishes to choose from.

    While you're shopping at MBK don't forget to go all the way up to the 6th floor. Waiting up here for you is the food court. What a great place to eat! Once we figured out the coupon system there was no stopping us. The minimum amount to buy as you enter the food court is 100baht, this in turn gets exchanged for whatever food you fancy. Great idea as the food handlers don't need to touch money. We wandered around looking very much out of place (no other westerners to be seen), not sure what half of the food was! But that didn't stop us from enjoying a wonderful meal! In fact we liked it so much we went back on another day to try some more. We thought everything so cheap, no complaints from us. Don't forget to cash in your coupons on your way out if you didn't spend them all.

    Place can get crowded especially during peak hours. Prices are cheap and provides a great variety of food to choose from. There are two stalls selling Halal food.

    It has to be the one and only 'Crispy Chicken Rice' which cost only 35THB (

  • Up on the 6th floor of the MBK shopping centre is the Food Court. As is common in most foodcourts in Bangkok this works on the voucher system. You buy vouchers at one of the voucher outlets up to whatevere value you want, and given the prices here you won't need to spend that much. You then use these vouchers to pay for the food and drink at one of the many sellers, then you redeem what vouchers you have left at the end at the special counter for voucher redemption. The choice of food is massive including noodles, rice, Chinese, soups and many others (including other Thai foods). We usually have a noodle soup with beef or chicken which you can make as spicey as you like. Delicious.

    The most popular shopping mall in Bangkok has another gem...the food court! Here, u buy some coupons and exchange it with food at any stall in the food court. There is a good selection of stalls ranging from local to japanese to korean meals. You can even find Singaporean favourite like chicken rice here. There's even sharksfin and birdnest here. Clean and hygenic as food handlers do not come into contact with money. Find this on the 6th floor. A decent meal with drinks do not even cost more than 100 baht. You will definitely find something u like here.

  • Not sure why everybody is praising this place, it is just bland cheap food. Maybe if you haven't eaten in a week sure I can see how someone would be saying that its the best they ever had. Otherwise, this place is just about the same as any other food court in Thailand, no need to make a special trip for it. Prices are reasonable and cheap but lets not get carried away. a hot dog at 7-11 is also cheap! for those that want to check it out, take the BTS to national stadium. The BTS exit directly connects to the MBK building. Goto the 6th floor (don't be fooled by the food court on the 5th floor, that one is average also)

  • It's a typical hectic, noisy smelly and exciting Bangkok scene jammed into one end of one floor of MBK (a great big mall reviewed many times elsewhere) and orientated around stuffing your face with whatever food you want for bargain prices. Many varieties of primarily Asian food available, including great vegetarian fare. If you don't want the same as your companion, they can go to a different stall and join you at the table and let you realise you want some of that too.

    The selection plate from the Thai vegetarian stand, you can get a huge pile of various delicious dishes. Aroi mak! (?)
