Looking for another place to stay near Khaosan Road, we passed by May Kaidee's, and we are starving so might as well take a lunch.
While waiting for our food, along came from inside a bunch of six foreign tourists with aprons and May Kaidee ( she must be, she looks exactly the lady at the pic on a travel news article posted on the wall). They are taking the 1-day cooking class. I think the class is fun, not only they are being taught to cook, May was also teaching them the basic Thai native dance - inside the restaurant.
So there we were watching them between the dancing moves and the rolling of the short round fresh spring roll, then the food arrived, whew! we ordered too much that I got constipation at night.
We ordered fresh spring roll, sauteed mixed veggies mostly mushrooms with glass noodles, a spicy coconut curry soup, big chunks of tropical fruits in home-made yogurt & muesli.
The food were really good!
Favorite Dish: sauteed veggies
well well...dear frinds of choosen delicious vegetarian food...i am living in bkk since 3 years now...just nearby this restaurant....
well if you think that they choose the best ingredients and veggies as they say on theyr flyer you are 100%trapped...i saw the stuff buying the vegetables on the most dirty foodmarked just around the corner in samsen-road..and this not only 1 time...no...everyday dear friends.!!!.witch is an absolutely discusting dirty stinky market and of course the cheapest too...just as an additional info...if you would know where all this cheap vegetables are coming from in thailand and how they are treated with chemicals you would not even thinking about drinking a fruitshake on the streets or enjoining a "fresh orangejuice"...anyway..
by the way...there are many restaurants in bkk...vegetarian of course witch are serving orgnic food choosen from controlled organic farms...just ask them...well if you are asking in may kai dees rest about that and they answer that all of it is from clean proper controlled sources well then they are ***ting you all over and are only after your money....enjoy your cheap food and dream the dream being healthy in thailand...hahaha cheers
There are three branches of Mai Kaidee Restaurants and Cooking School in BKK all around Banglampoo not far from Khaosan Road. The one I like is in alley behind the Burger King but all three are very good places if you are looking for authentic Thai healthy food - all vegetarian, of course! If you are lucky to be there on the day head chef Mai Kaidee is in the kitchen at the Samsen Road (Soi 1) branch , you are in for a real treat.Mai Kaidee also offers a popular one day cooking class here.
