part two of my S & P Restaurant tip with more pictures around the restaurant.

the S & P Restaurant and Bakery is a local Thailand Chain of fast food restaurants and bakeries that offer an assortment of local and international fast food items and baked products and even coffee. it has several branches in and around bangkok and thailand and the outlet that we ate is at the Ground Floor of the Pantip Plaza in Pratunam Area. It also has the Blue Cup Coffee Brand as the restaurant houses both the S & P Restaurant and the Blue Cup Coffee House. They have many branches around the bangkok area.

opens: 10:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday

Favorite Dish: like what i've said, they have an assortment of baked breads, noodles, pasta, rice dishes (both local and international), dumplings, assorted coffee blends from blue cup coffee and more. price of a thai iced tea here is 60 baht, an order of shrimp dumplings with salmon roe at 140 baht, an order of thai breaded pork bits in bread at 180 baht, an order of thai seafood rice is at 120 baht per order and the coffee at 90 baht for a large order.

  • S&P restaurant: Horrible - avoid

by marcellomarcello Updated Aug 3, 2011

We came there 1030am just after the mall was opened and wanted breakfast. They said they had no breakfast. The previous day we were told it was possible. So we ordered bacon and egg sandwiches. The manager took the order, but while taking the order he walked away several times and for the last time, he sent a trainee to note down the drinks. Then the manager brought a spoon (sic) and a fork. At my girlfriends place he placed the spoon to her left hand and at my place to my right hand. Then the sandwiches came out of the kitchen, we were the only people in the restaurant but the staff still wondered where they would have to go to. After some debating the kitchen called them back and I heard that they forgot to insert the bacon. Then the home delivery boy in motorbike uniform served us the sandwiches. They tasted like the service, awful. Mind you this is not a cheap place. We paid 451 baht for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks. Never again I would go there.

Favorite Dish: Can't think of one.

S&P Bakery / Blue Cup Coffee

I ate at S&P Bakery / Blue Cup Coffee on my final morning of a trip to Bangkok in September 2007.

There are numerous branches of both S&P Bakery and the Blue Cup Coffee chain throughout Bangkok, and I visited the branch close to the intersection of Yaowarat Road and Thanon Ratchawong in the Chinatown district.

This small, air-conditioned establishment was more of a take-away bakery than a café, but there were two or three small tables by the window, so I chose to eat in.

You can choose from a selection of pre-packed sandwiches, cakes, muffins, almond brownies, cookies and Durian filled pies.

The drinks menu features a host of hot and cold coffees, with a particular focus on various flavoured ice-blended coffees, teas and frappes.

    Favorite Dish: I opted for:

Espresso Ice – Milky Way - Cost: 60 Baht (approx. 0.90 GBP)

An extremely cold, milky coffee with blended ice. Very refreshing on a hot and humid day.

Apple + raisin Danish - Cost: 19 Baht (approx. 0.30 GBP)

A piece of apple and raisin filled Danish pastry, topped with icing and sliced almonds and warmed up in the microwave.

Banana cake - Cost: 15 Baht (approx. 0.25 GBP)

A small packaged banana flavoured sponge cake.

Coffees and cakes in a standard bakery/coffeechain.

available many places. Simple decor, simple food, great takeaway.
I like their Thai dumplings, stuffed with pork, or chicken , or sago with peanuts.

They have many restaurants = one near Marriott Spa - and one near Hard ROCK cafe at Siam. Also available at many food courts, eg at Emporium
