Shoshana: A great find
A small back street Israeli cafe in the Khao San Road area. This place is basic with a few tables outside but serves some of the nicest food I had in Bangkok and the number of customers it has is testimony to that. There are also seats inside however most of the food is cooked in a small kitchen just outside the front doors. Shosana is located on a back street which is a bit dingey but it's all good and fun watching the local kids playing about.
They serve a variety of cheap Thai and Middle Eastern food including falafel, hummus, hazilim, salad and chips. It's a quick eat and attracts many backpackers.
Favorite Dish: Tom Yam soup was good, leaving you with perfect bee stung lips. The Schnitzel was the best I've had.
Shoshana: Let's Try Israeli Food
Don't go there if you look for a stylish restaurant with a chic decor and a good view. You won't find it at all here. The restaurant is simply a place which tables and chairs are put together in an organized way. One big screen TV to watch MTV, Israeli movies, Hollywood movies, etc.
But if you are in Khao San Road area, and would like to try some Israeli dishes, pop into this restaurant. It's pretty cheap(!) with good amount of food. There are many combined sets for you to choose.
The place is not big. There are about 6 tables. People dont stick around for a long time. They usually leave as soon as they finish their plates...of course after they pay.
Most customers are Israeli people who stay in the area.
PS The second floor is an Internet Cafe. Not sure about the price, only remember that it's cheap.
Favorite Dish: Falafel and a few other things that I can never remember the names.
