whoever doesn't know about starbucks? it is a worldwide coffee phenomenon that made seattle the corporate capital of this coffee chain empire that started in the 1980's as a small mom and pop coffee house at Seattle's Pike Place Market. Starbucks in Thailand is part of the wordlwide popularity of the Coffee Chain and at Present, it has more than 141 branches around thailand and is giving the local coffee chain, Black Canyon Coffee, a run for it's money.

most of their stores open at 6:00 am to 10:00 pm everyday

    according to their website:

    Starbucks Coffee Thailand

Starbucks Coffee Thailand is a wholly owned subsidiary of Starbucks Corporation. Starbucks Coffee Thailand was founded with the idea of bringing the Starbucks Experience to Thai consumers. Since the opening of the first store on July 17, 1998 at Central Chidlom, the company has expanded throughout the country (Pattaya, Chiang Mai, Samui, Phuket, Huahin, Nongkhai, Korat, Krabi, Rayong, and KonKaen). With constant rate of expansion As of July 2011, Starbucks has 141 stores in Thailand.

It's funny, while Geoffy G. asked some about drinking a cup of coffee ...
    In Bangkok.

    :o)

Sorry guy, had to update my VT Bangkok's, so here is the only and true answer >>>

    S T A R B U C K S !!!

Favorite Dish: Ehm,... the coffee is good, like anywhere in the Starbucks around the world. Same price all over, you can have the usual drinks and try the green tea, famous in Asia ...

The food is not that tasty, sorry folks, better enjoy your cup of coffee and, just around the corner you'll find the best snacks and street food you can imagine ...

Starbucks: You're rarely far away from one of these...

    by jrs1234 Updated Apr 10, 2008
    Starbucks on Sukhumvit

The locals seem to have taken to Starbucks in a big way - there are branches all over town (over 50 in Bangkok, according to the Starbucks website). Thais love coffee (to the extent that iced instant coffee from a can is a best seller), so it isn't entirely surprising. My last visit was to the branch in Central World Plaza, and in the middle of a hot afternoon the iced latte went down very nicely, especially with a free newspaper to read. Prices are aligned to what well-to-do locals can be persuaded to part with - but are a lot less than the outrageous sums that they demand in the UK, and if you factor in the comfortable seats and the aircon, it's not too bad a deal...
