  • Very special local food you can find on the street . I found it very interesting once get in Khao San Road where the street vendor sitting there with the food cart. One of the unique food is Fried Insects..scorpion,grasshopper,worms,and another insect I could not recognise their name. Its crunchy and crispy as I saw some people eating it. They said it is yumi!! and I dont have a gut to try.I should have tried it!!

    There are many open air stalls . We preferred to eat the local food and to try different fruits and dishes.

    Learn basic thai and ask around, friendly people! watch where the locals eat and dont be afraid to try new dishes! Avoid fried scorpian!

  • the cheapest and tastiest way to eat in bangkok is from the street stalls, everything from pad thai, keebabs and fresh local fruit is available from different stalls and cost next to nothing. its a great way to eat and they fill you up!
