On Sukhumvit Soi 7 is an area of several fixed food stalls and a bar. Once you have fought your way through the crowd of people trying to attract you to their menus, just choose any table and select a set of menus from whichever stall/server you fancy. Whichever you choose the drinks all come from the same bar.
As an example of price a Prawn Pad Thai will cost 30-40 baht, or a fried rice with chicken is 70-80 baht.
Right next door is another bar called 'New Wave" with pool tables and large screen TV, popular with UK visitors because it shows a lot of Sport on a giant TV screen. Just across across the Soi is a German beer garden which is also very popular with visitors.
Favorite Dish:
Virtually all the food is good and cheap - but as this is Bangkok, obviously the seafood is great.
Alternatively you could try some of the insects being served by the street vendors alongside.
This is a handy place to sit down and eat, especially in the evening, when it's brightly lit, and the temperature outdoors is more reasonable.
There are several vendors competing for your business, so service is friendly and quick. All of them seem to specialise in seafood, but I noticed plenty of other Thai dishes on the menu too. It's pretty reasonably priced for Sukhumvit, too - dishes from around the 100 baht mark.
Favorite Dish:
Personally I went for the simpler, less spicy stuff - the fried rice with mixed seafood was yummy.
I laugh out loud whenever visit this food court, since so many waitress running in front of me and tell about their specialities. Really like a superstar or celebrities ... So okay, to avoid they're getting quarrel to each other, I order many kind of food in different counters :)
Favorite Dish:
Tom Yum Ghoong, fried rice with crabs, fried rice with prawn, pineapple fried rice, orange juice, dessert, mango and papaya salad!
