    You will find small shops selling every imaginable Hollywood movie and PS2 game that you can think of. When I was there in March 2004, I already managed to obtain the latest Lord of the Rings DVD. Each pirated DVD costs only 150 Baht (US$4) and you can bargain for a further discount if you order 5 or more items. The irony of it is that there is a banner displayed in the shopping center encouraging people to report any infringement of intellectual property and copyrighted material to the Thai authorities! The vendors will take your orders from the catalogue and ask you to come back half an hour later. Go for a drink or a meal and by the time you come back, you have your DVDs ready. The DVDs work in Singapore but if you are from another country, do check that your DVD player is comptable.

    DVDs, PC games, PS2 games.

    150 Baht per item, negotiable if you buy 5 or more.

  • Directions: Panthip Plaza is located in the Pratunam district of Bangkok. It is a short taxi ride from Chitlom BTS station and near the Amari Watergate Hotel. However, the traffic congestion can be so bad that it will be faster to talk from Chitlom BTS station.

    If you love to shop computer gadgets, games etc. you should visit Pantip Plaza. It's the world of computers and pheriperals. You can buy cheap computer programs and games but no-one can assure you that those are working properly in your own computer. I have bought couple of games which didn't work at all. You have also remember that it's illegal to export the illegal computer programs, games, CD's or other stuff.

    This arcade is especializing all computers and electronics stuffs. many different stalls inside to the 2nd floor, there's also a small food center , if i'm not mistaken that was a japanese resto and some thai food stalls also.

    Computer stuffs, cameras, cellphones are i think those interesting to buy in this area.

    If I can remember, there are six floors.
    The only problem is the guaranty.

    There are so many computer and electronic shops all congregate inside this one mall that if you can find the parts or items that you want here, you will not find it anywhere else in Thailand! Just kidding... but seriously you will find the stuffs that you want here. Both hardware and software....

    The mother of them all. Walking through the main entrance of this multi-storey IT complex, u'll be greeted with the latest copy software for sale (100B - 150B), along with DVD's, MP3 CD's, and anything else that can be put on disk. If u're looking for a new wireless mouse, USB stick, CD-Rom drive, latest toys, or whatever u can think of, sift ur way through as many vendors as possible to compare prices and find the best deal.

    Most IT brands are well-represented, and the safest places to buy from are credible and established outlets. The secret is to take ur time, and to compare prices. To put it simply, Pantip is a must, especially if u' e shopping on a budget. Even just for the experience, it's well worth ur time to explore the sheer variety of IT products on offer, packed from floor to ceiling.

    All electronic stuff under one roof

    dvd's, X-box, PS2 games, nintendo's, computers, digital cameras... you name it you'll find it here. Be prepared to spend a few hours here.

    cheap, hagle of course... and do not buy on the first place, you will find cheaper around the corner and if not say the guy just before was cheaper, they'll match the prices.

    Pantip Plaza is an indoor IT shopping mall located on New Phetchaburi Road in Ratchathewi district, Bangkok, Thailand. The sale of counterfeit software and DVDs are some reasons behind this mall's success and notoriety. Pantip Plaza is open daily from 10 AM to 9 PM. The stores within the plaza are free to operate their own hours. However, by 7:30 PM to 8 PM, many of the stores are already closing down. There are hundreds of small shops specializing in computer hardware, software and accessories, including parts, repair, modifications, networking, second hand, laptops, Macintosh and peripherals. Pantip has restaurants on the ground floors. Food courts on the mezzanine level and second floor offer a wide selection of Thai cuisine, desserts and drinks. General price range for foods is between 30 baht to 40 baht, desserts 15 baht.
