This will be my platinum mall shopping tips. Being just across my hotel at the Amari Watergate and also eyeing to buy some souvenirs to my friends, I have to go to this mall!
If you are a hard core shopper of bulk items at wholesale prices without the inconvenience of hot and humid shopping like in the Chatuchak Weekend Market or the Pratunam Market and the Markets around Baiyoke and Indira Regent Hotel, then the Platinum Mall is the place to be. The mall is the centerpiece of the Pratunam shopping area of Bangkok where you can shop in air conditioned comfort and at low prices for wholesale items. The Mall has over 2,000 small stalls that sell wholesale items and this mall is a favorite not only of the local thais but also other south east asian nationalities as the prices here are very affordable. They have 8 zones at 6 floors of shopping heaven, named after famous shopping areas of the world. they even have a big food court inside.
Opens: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm everyday
What to buy:
among the items that you can buy at the platinum mall include: children’s wear, adolescent clothing, jeans, evening dresses, underwear and oversized clothing to wigs, belts, shoes, handbags, hats and cosmetics, women’s fashion and accessories, mens clothes, leather, local crafts, souvenir items, imported fashion from Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, China, India, as well as niche fashion, such as oversized clothes, elderly lady’s fashion, chiffon dresses, cowboy clothes, costumes, and more.
What to pay:
haggling is a must when buying here and also they give more discounts if you buy three or more of the same items (like buying 3 or more chang beer t-shirts, originally at 180 baht per piece, they will lessen it to 150 baht or up to 140 baht if you buy more than 8 pieces).
Just a walking distance from the Pratunam market is the Platinum Fashion Mall, and whoa! This mall is like the exact place where all fashionistas head at!
I think it's better to call it "The "F" Mall".
I can actually say that Platinum Mall is the 168 Mall version here in the Divisoria market.
I bought 3 kinds of clothes and 1 backpack with a stuff toy attached on it! Oh, you shouldn’t miss this place!
What to buy:
Various types of men’s and ladies’ wear can be seen! You won’t get tired finding your ideal style!!!
I think the clothes being sold in the malls in Manila were bought here! There's a discount if you'll buy wholesale, like, let's say you want to buy 3 pcs or more of a dress, you can have it sold by 10% less than the actual price, great right!?
Aside from clothes, there are also bags, accessories, gift items etc. shops in every floors.
What to pay:
The shops accept only cash.
Platinum Fashion Mall. Every girls' favourite mall...A relatively new shopping center in the Petchburi area, Platinum Fashion Mall caters especially to wholesale clothing, selling a similar range of clothing to the Pratunam Market across the street, except in air-conditioned comfort. The mall has six floors which are filled with small outlets - most of them specialising in women's clothing and fashion accessories.

Since this is a wholesale mall, you can get items at very reasonable prices - provided you buy larger quantities, usually three items and up. Some of them are kind enough to give one wholesale price even if u only buy one piece. Just remember to put a big smile on ur face and say "please". Trust me.. it works. :P
The price u pay will be about 30% lower per piece. Most shops allow u to mix different types of items, for example, purses and bags, shirts and trousers. And as with most shopping malls in the city, there is also a food court on the fifth floor, along with cafés and fast food chains
Unlike other shopping malls in the central district of Bangok, Plantinum Mall is one place that is not a usual haunt for tourists. The large mall of five floors is a cheaper alternative to ladies looking for great variety of fashion apparels. For men, they got something for you too.
Because the mall consists of many, many wonderful shops, a great tip not to miss out on any great deals is to walk, browse and shop in an organised manner. Instead of just snaking your way haphazardly, stroll your way through the long rows of shops and if you do find a 'hard-to-miss deal' but still want to wander around, do remember to unit number and name of the shop because once you forgot the shop, you could be 'lose' it (unless you walk through the rows again..)
A word of caution: you could be spending a whole day or two in the mall! So do remember to take a breather at one of the several food joints such as Black Canyon Coffee.
What to buy:
Clothes, Shoes, Bags, Accessories and more.
What to pay:
Eventhough prices are already sold at wholesale costs, do try to bargain further if possible.
There are 6 floors of shops mainly selling clothes, but you could also buy soveniers, accessories, footwear etc.
What to buy:
clothes of every kind for men, women and children, hair clips, etc.,soveniers, room fragrance, footwear etc.
What to pay:
mid range to low range. You need to bargain.if you buy more than one piece then you get better bargains
The Platinum mall is one of the main bargain shopping malls in the city. Here hundreds of stalls sell cheap items like clothes, shoes, local crafts and souvenirs and of high quality. Here prices are not fixed so feel free to haggle prices. Sellers are normally willing to bring down prices if you decide to purchase stuff wholesale.

It was so amazing to have seen a shopping mall like The Platinum Fashion Mall in Bangkok. All you got to do is walk, walk & walk. You will get everything fashionable under one roof at a very reasonable price. Also, it contains a vast range of clothing accessories, shoes & etc.; Our stay in Bangkok was remarkable, thankx to The Platinum Fashion Mall.
What to buy:
Clothes, Fashion Accessories, Shoes & Textile
What to pay:
Over US $ 1000
There are like 5 levels and 1 basement full of clothes in this wholesaler mall. About 80% women's clothes and accessories, 10% guys' stuff and 10% others, including a food court on level 5.
How things work: When you buy one piece from a shop, it's retail price. But for most, if you buy two or more, you get wholesale price/discount, which can range from 50-200 baht cheaper per item. So you either buy more, or shop with a fren and buy stuff together.
What to buy:
Clothes and the like. Different kinds of fashion here, but you really have to pick and choose. I usually just walk up and down the aisles methodically until I see somthing on my list of to buy (meaning: clothes which are my size and style).
What to pay:
Prices range from 200-500 baht for clothes, and 50-200 for accessories. Bags and shoes vary.
Cash please, they dun have cards.
Platinum Fashion Mall is a great bargain place to be. You can find a wide selection of clothing, bags, shoes, etc... It's best to buy in 3's or more so you can have a bargain price. Single item purchase tends to be higher. You can shop in comfort here coz it's cooler with aircon unlike the wholesale market where it's hot & chaotic. There's also a food court where you can eat.
What to buy:
Wide selection of clothing, bags, shoes, etc...
What to pay:
Shirts for 100 baht
