by Cielo_Algaeed Platinum Mall is newly opened store which caters mostly to women's clothings. It is located infront of Amari watergate Hotel along Pratunam Area. I ddint enjoy my shopping here primarily because some of them are fixed price and most of it are offering the same thing. Their goods are concentrated more on RTW for women an children. At the ground floor they have coffee shops and small restaurants. Outside the mall are numerous stalls selling local products. Theme: Department Store

Smallish shopping mall. LOTS of clothing and shoes, as well as jewellry. Very reasonable prices. My husband kept telling me to wait for Bangkok when we were on the islands. Glad I did as we saved up to 80% on our purchases.
500 Bhat on a COPY handbag... they were asking 2000 Bhat on the islands. Leave a Comment Theme: Women's Clothes

Four floors of women's clothing and accessories at prices that are lower than shops around Bangkok. The fifth floor is a food court. As this is a wholesale mall, here's how it works: If you buy three items and up, the price you pay is about 30% lower per piece. You'll find mostly youth oriented women's clothing, shoes and bags in this mall. While there were a lot of stalls and a lot of stuff, unfortunately most of the trendy things here aren't of very good quality. For example, pretty printed dresses made of cheap cotton, fashionable shoes made from canvas or fake leather, that sort of thing. Worth a look though, you might just dig out a bargain or two. But don't go in with high hopes, if you don't go for cheap fashions in the first place. You're better off at Siam Square.
On the accessories floor, there's a belt shop with really cute and hip belts going for a song and a stationary shop selling quirky gadgets like cute clocks.
Cheaper than most, if not all, clothing stores in Bangkok. Leave a Comment Theme: Women's ClothesDirections: Pratunam market area. It's the spanking new silver building with the words Platinum Mall prominent on the front of the building.Website: www.platinumfashionmall.com

This is a new 5 storey wholesale mall that opened in 2006. If you do not have much time in Bangkok for shopping, just go to Platinum mall. This is perhaps the best wholesale mall in the city (in terms of variety, quality and pricing). Things available for sale: Clothes, bags, accessories, shoes, souvenirs, etc Opening hours: 10am - 8pm (shops starts closing around 6pm) Location: Petchaburi Road, Pratunam. Opposite Amari Watergate Hotel. Getting there: 1) Longtail boat - Pratunam Pier 2) BTS - Chit Lom or Ratchathewi stations 3) Bus - 2, 13, 23, 54, 72, 76, 77, 60, 62, 93, 140, 204, 511, 512, 514, 536 Tips: Ask for the wholesale price (otherwise you will be quoted the higher retail price). Then ask how many you need to buy (from the same store) - the answer is usually 3 pieces. Theme: Women's Clothes

Platinum mall, sitting just next to the Pantip Plaza, is a wholesales shopping complex. Almost all the shops here offered half-priced to the same item that you found even in Chatuchak or Pratunam market provided that you buy at least 3 or 5 items from the shop.
Platinum Mall is all ladies shopping paradise, as you can shop from head to toe here with extremely cheap price. Theme: Women's ClothesDirections: Next to the Pantip Plaza (IT mall) and opposite Pratunam Complex.

by canajen This massive 'mall' is a labyrinth of 1300 fashion stores. You will find clothing for men and women of any style shape or colour. Although it isn't common place to bargain with the staff, if you bring a friend an buy clothes at the same store, they will usually give you up to 50% off. This place can be dumbfoundingly large and on busy days can be a tad overwhelming, so shopping breaks are usually on the agenda. A neat little spot for a woman to stop is the manicure store on the second floor. For 80 bahts they actuall print intricate thai patterns directly on your nails. I'm not the usual type that enjoys nail art, but this can really be appreciated. Another hot sopt for the locals is the mr. bun on the botom floor, which always has a line up of at least half a dozen people.
100-200 baht for a shirt 250-350 baht for a dress 200-500 baht for pants 100 baht for a watch, belt, etc. Theme: Women's Clothes

Unlike other shopping malls in the central district of Bangok, Plantinum Mall is one place that is not a usual haunt for tourists. The large mall of five floors is a cheaper alternative to ladies looking for great variety of fashion apparels. For men, they got something for you too. Because the mall consists of many, many wonderful shops, a great tip not to miss out on any great deals is to walk, browse and shop in an organised manner. Instead of just snaking your way haphazardly, stroll your way through the long rows of shops and if you do find a 'hard-to-miss deal' but still want to wander around, do remember to unit number and name of the shop because once you forgot the shop, you could be 'lose' it (unless you walk through the rows again..) A word of caution: you could be spending a whole day or two in the mall! So do remember to take a breather at one of the several food joints such as Black Canyon Coffee.
Clothes, Shoes, Bags, Accessories and more.
Eventhough prices are already sold at wholesale costs, do try to bargain further if possible. Leave a Comment

The mall houses a wide variety of apparel for men and ladies, children as well. As this is a wholesale shopping mall, no trying is allowed. You can get the clothes and other stuff at wholesale prices provided that you buy a larger quantity from the shop, usually 3 pieces. Some shops allow you to mix different types of items, e.g. purses and bags, shirts and pants. This is a very comfortable (air-conditioned) alternative compared to shopping at the open air stores in Pratunam Market. A plus point for guys is that it is more difficult to shop in Pratunam Market as you have to go around trying to find men's apparel. The mall helps to centralise everything. There are also cafes like Black Canyon Coffee, Mr Bun and a large food court serving inexpensive local food on the fifth level for you to rest your feet and satisfy your hunger.
4000 to 5000 baht shouldn't be too difficult. :) Leave a Comment Theme: Discount StorePhone: (662) 121-9999Directions: It is located along Petchaburi Road, you will see it after you have passed Pantip Plaza and Grand Diamond Hotel.Website: http://www.platinumfashionmall.com/
