Maybe not an ordinary department store though a fancy snobby shopping mall, that is SIAM PARAGON. It is prestigeous and already legendary. All what is expensive you can buy here. The grand entrance may give you the idea entering an exquisite place with exceptional architecture.

Walking around you get the idea the designers of this place want to show nature and culture, art and technology and ofcourse fashion and lifestyle. Even their entrance of their Website is amazing! Sometimes the mall is breathtaking indeed and I wonder if the Rich & Famous who come here do have the same idea about ... during their rush to get the newest trendy bag. Or the Lamborghini you can watch on the top floor ...

What to buy: Ehm,... well,... I do write a column for a Dutch Make-up magazine. And mentioned a while ago the hot and new trendy product "Cle De Peau". A "powdery foundation" (to get a smooth teint) costs about 280$ !!!

And guess! The SIAM PARAGON has it! Isn't it a MUST for a make-up artist to have such a trendy hotty and snobby woe in his make-up trunk??? Nope, I walked on through ... *sigh*

What to pay: Just mentioned! Though I've seen some girls buying a cheap small thing to get the handbag of SIAM PARAGON ... WOE!

Siam Paragon: Biggest Shopping Mall in Asia....for now

    SiamParagon

The one that redefined shopping mall sizes....for now, till the next goliath appears. Who said size does not matter?

Be blown away by the sheer size of the place alone. State of the art coolness (as in the aircon) Throw in the countless numbers of branded goods boutiques, a sheer size bordering on snootiness, a food court possibly big enough to form its own country and amazement of amazement, an aquarium in the basement. Brings new meaning to the phrase "floating on water".

A shopaholic's paradise. The shopping god must be residing here.

What to buy: Anything (well, most things) under the sun that money can buy tangibly.

What to pay: Look at the price tag, take out wallet/purse and go to the cashier.

Siam Paragon: The most expensive shopping center in Bangkok

    Me at Siam Pargon cinema

All the things here are selling at a very expensive price, and this place is really not suitable for bargain hunter. The shops here are very different from the likes of MBK, as the free space between the shops is really very huge. Everything is classy here, even the toilet! From MBK, you can walk here.

Siam Paragon: Never miss out for air-con shopping

If you want a relaxing shopping experience, never miss out the biggest shopping mall in Bangkok. The newly built shopping mall that opened in early 2006 has not only housed a large department stores, but also many different dining experiences. There are food courts on the ground floor that sold at price of Siam Center food court, and medium price food court like restaurants on the same floor and even some much more expensive restaurants on the side of the mall. Besides, you must pay a visit to the Gourmet (the supermarket) of the Siam Paragon, in which you can find the 3D LCD television in any of the entrance of it. Looks so advance to me. There are a lot of brand names stores just outside the department stores also. Hence I don't think just one day could be good enough to go around this mall!

    Siam Paragon: Glitzy, glamourous shopping

If you're looking to indulge yourself with all the designer brands in the world, you've come to the right place. There are 2 huge floors dedicated to branded goods. Me? Could only window shop :-p

What I like about this place is the huge variety of food courts and restaurants available. There's also cinemas and aquarium.

What to buy: What I was looking for was locally designed furniture and I found some delightful shops with cool furniture and equally trendy lights.

    Wish can bring them home.

What to pay: Premium pricing for almost everything

    Siam Paragon: Grand Shopping Experience

by mrkokomo Written May 7, 2006

What to buy: It is huge, it is hip, it is new, and it has great food. They wanted it to be hte grand shopping experience, equal to or beating that of Singapore, and in my opinion, they achieved that goal.

What to pay: Food court serves inexpensive and great tasting food. There are restaurants ranging from family style inexpensive ones to more luxurious ones. They have an aquarium as well. Stuff sold her are world class brand names, and so are the prices. You can shop from $10 to $10,000 here.

Paragon - Chidlom - MBK - Emporium...: Excellent Malls

You can't bargain but the places are beautiful, there are aircon, smell delicious, the clothes is good quality, things that I can't say about night markets. Siam Center Station is the best place to go to the malls walking, from there you can go to Paragon, Siam Center, Siam Discovery, Central World Plaza, Chidlom, MBK, Gaysorn, over there you can spend the whole day and part of night, they close at 10 pm and then if you have still energy, then go to one of the night markets, I thing Patpong is open until 3 a.m. I didn't like it, very crowd and the sellers are not friendly at all, they smile at you at the begining and if they see that you have the intention to buy, but if you don't buy anything probably they snatch the thing that you have from your hands like happened to me.
This is a good link to see malls: http://www.bangkokbob.net/malls.htm

Siam Paragon: Upmarket and Very Pricey

Siam Paragon, though touted to be bigger and better than the rest was a little over-rated we felt.

Their spacious walkways and many expensive brand named shops offered little to the budget conscious. Even those looking for brand named goods may find Shopping elsewhere, like in Singapore better as fashion may be a little behind and that it is pricier than in Malaysia or Singapore.

Even their food court, though extremely large and offering many different types of eats to choose from was priced a little higher than other Bangkok Shopping Centres.

The Siam Ocean World was the only thing worth visiting here.

What to pay: 200Baht at least for two to have one meal at it's food court.
