    Bangkok View At Night

For those who do not know Baiyoke is the tallest tower in in Bangkok.
After spending the night here I was a bit dissapointed by the price charged. It is far too expensive for the room and is best just to call in and visit. The buffet breakfasts and lunches are well worth the money as there is a wide selection of foods from all over Asia and deserts etc. All you can eat so turn up as hungry as you can be and make the most of it. There is also a nice bakery at the reception floor (not ground) of the hotel. The skybar is useless and tacky. It is best to just call in for a feed and visit the top floor to get a great view of Bangkok.

Go see the Baiyoke sky hotel, restaurant (Bangkok sky restaurant) and the revolving roof deck on the 84th (!) floor.

You can buy a ticket only for the view or you can buy a combined ticket whick also includes the restaurant (food's not included). The combined ticket is 410,- Bath.
You get a spectacular view of this enormous city! You also get to visit one of the better buffet-restaurants I have ever visited. Not because of the service or atmosphere (except for the view though..), but an amazing buffet of varios food from all parts of the world.

Enjoy a bird's eye view of Bangkok city!
Baiyoke Sky Hotel is the highest hotel in Thailand, possibly in Asia or in the world! There is a revolving viewing gallery constructed right at the top of this Japanese-owned hotel. Unfortunately, you have to pay about B120 just to go up there.

part two of my four part tip on the Baiyoke Sky Tower with more pictures around the sky tower.

The Baiyoke Sky Tower building is 309 meters or1,013 feet tall and although this is a big hotel in bangkok, it is popular with tourists who want to have a view of it's top revolving deck on the 85th floor as it is the highest building in Bangkok! It has 85 floors, with a public observatory on the 77th floor and a 360-degree revolving roof deck on the 84th floor. The view in the Top is Breathtaking since you can see the various expressways of bangkok and the chao phraya river and grand palace complex but I was not that Impressed since I've been to many Tower's Including the Highest being the CN Tower in Toronto Canada (see my toronto page) and Stratosphere Tower in Vegas and Macau Tower. tokyo tower, seoul tower and more.

Part four and final part of my Baiyoke Sky Tower Tips with more pictures.

Baiyoke Sky Tower is the tallest Buidling of Bangkok but if you want to have more spectacular views of Bangkok Skyline and Beyond, Lebua State Tower Sky Bar and Banyan Hotel Moon Bar has better views and free entrance but the prices of the drinks are sky high! If you are a hotel guest of the sky tower, admission is free on the observation deck and the revolving roof deck but if you are a tourist, you will have to pay 300 Baht at the ticket counter at the ground floor as entrance fee (with one free drink included) then ride the separate elevator to the tower for 1 minute and 25 seconds and viola! you are at the 77th floor observation deck. you will ride another elevator and another flight of stairs going to the 84th floor revolving sky deck and then shooot away for pictures and videos.

the sky deck opens from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm everyday.

    Not for the faint hearted!

Take a lift to the top of the Byokie Sky Hotel, the tallest in the Southern Hemisphere, and take a look around!
The lift goes up on the outside of the building, and that is scary, as you can see through a glass elevator everything around you!

    Baiyoke Tower 2

    Baiyoke Tower 2, Bangkok

Bangkok has two Baiyoke buildings in Pratunam district. Baiyoke 1 is a white building with colorful windows, and Baiyoke Tower 2 is a more iconic tower in downtown Bangkok. Baiyoke Tower 2 is the tallest hotel tower in Southeast Asia. It is a 85 storey building with the height of 304 m (997sf).

Baiyoke Tower 2 is not only a hotel with 673 rooms, but it has a public observatory on the 77th floor, a rooftop bar and music lodge on the 83th floor, and 360 degree revolving roof deck on the 84th floor.

I had noticed the tall building while riding a taxi from a highway to enter the city. First, I thought it was just an office tower or government building in the city center and really did not pay much attention to it. One day, we got out of the metro to look for our hotel in the same district. For some reason, we entered this tower hotel to use its toilet. That was how I knew it is a hotel, and took its lift up to 77th floor to check out the free public observatory. It was worth checking it out especially at night!

You can also see the tower from the Suan Pakkad Palace Museum. I enjoyed looking at the contrast between the traditional Thai houses and the modern Baiyoke Tower 2.

A long way to the top...

    by MJS17 Updated Apr 4, 2011

The first time I went to Bangkok I stayed at the Indra Regent and amazingly was oblivious to the fact thet the Baiyoke Skytower was only a few hundred metres away. On my second trip to Bangkok I made sure I didn't miss it. It really is one of the things you should do. We went to the 77th floor observation deck but apparently you can go to the 84th floor roof deck for an open air experience. After you've checked this out have a look around Partunam. Some people hate it but I loved it. It was a real bustling part of town...

Looking for delicious halal food? Fret not... Check out Al-Maidah restaurant, nestled at the Pratunam area, near the Baiyoke Sky hotel. It serves delicious thai styled food and adequately priced too!

found this in my hotel room at Baiyoke Sky

It's the tallest tower in Thailand. They have a viewing deck where you can appreciate the view of the city. Go there day and night to see the difference.
