    We went to the Chao Praya River with some of my husband's friends to dine out. At first I thought it was the ordinary dinner that we had in some restaurant. It turned out that we were going to take a cruise along the River. It was a nice experience having seen the hotel (Marriott, Mandarin and others) at night time.

    Well worth the 1000. Baht. The trip starts on the river and then on the canals for about an hour. We then transferred to a barge – and continued the trip. One gets very good idea of waterside living in Bangkok. The trip on the barge included a meal of different fruit, especially those from Thailand.

    You have to experience the river cruise. We took the express boat, which is less crowded.

  • after a day's worth of walking, what better way to see the bangkokian skyline than from the main artery that is Menam Chao Phraya. for a very cheap fare (about 2 bhat i think) (not to be mistake with the ones runned for tourists), you can take a ferry ride down river from the pier near the grand palace down to near Patpong for a good dinner and night out.
