 | | | | Grand Palace / Wat Phra Kaew: Little tip while visiting Grand Palace | Tip Rating: | | | | |
Ok, every tourist will have this Grand Palace in their list of the place must visit. Surely I will agree to it, but only to the first visit. Compares the architecture, the Angkor Wat in Cambodia has lot more to see, but again it is not fair in this comparison as Angkor Wat is one of the seven wonders. Generally, I think Grand Palace is worth a visit. This will be my little tip to everyone. Knowing the weather is really hot in Bangkok, I'll recommend you to step into the palace at once you have the ticket on your hand. There is a fully air-conditioned museum near the entrance, but ignore it at first. Most tourist will go into the museum first, as this really a correct sequence to visit the palace. Even tour guide will do the same. But believe me, there will be nothing missed if you visit it last, and get chilled with the cold air inside the museum before you end your journey, and get yourself refresh for the next tourist spot! Oh yeah, another thing is, remember to dress up neatly before you go. Otherwise, not a big deal though, you will just need to borrow/rent from the authority. Cost is 200B (if you are Thai, it's free), and includes admission to Vimanmek Mansion and Abhisek Dusit Throne Hall, both in the Dusit area.Website: http://www.discoverthailand.com/
