    Bangkok traffic

The BTS in Bangkok is a fast, efficient alternative to taxi and buses. The traffic in Bangkok is terrible, always at a standstill so if the BTS goes there, take it, you'll get there alot faster.

Ride the ultra-modern SkyTrain for great views of the city and fun people-watching...best of all, it's air-conditioned!

    BTS Sky Train

If you are near one of the stops on the BTS "Sky Train" you are in luck. It is efficient, clean, fast and best of all ABOVE Bangkok traffic!

    Mo Chit BTS station

The BTS train system is modern, really simple to use, and fairly efficient-only 2 lines-Sukhumvit and Silom with a transfer between them only at the Siam stop.

The best way to go around

by ChuckG Written Oct 24, 2003

It's just too bad it doesn't go all the way across the river. To go to the best tourists spots, you still have to take a bus, a long walk, or a cab.

A welcome relief from the tuk tuks and the slow slow local busses, and the fumes from the exhausts:S
