Tuk-tuks: Don't you love the smell of Gas.....
If you are getting a Tuk Tuk, make sure that you can stand the smell. It is pretty cheap considering your optioned as a tourist. Metered Taxi's are hard for tourist to get around because the driver does not want to turn his meter on and then turn around and charge you about 3 times the price....But a fair Tuk Tuk ride should be about 50 to 150 Baht to a destination...

    Tuk-tuks: tuk tuk
The easiest way of transportation in Bangkok but you are exposed to the air polution and to the 80-90% humidity that its insufferable...When I was the first time in Bangkok a local man adviced me to ¨rent¨ a tuk tuk for the whole day and not taking a tuk tuk everytime that I wanted to visit another place, or temple. You arrange the price first and finally it is more cheap and you dont waste time. The only problem is that tuk tuk drivers take you to tax free shops around the city so they can take free gas tickets for their vehicles, you dont have to buy something its enough only to take a look and leave.

    Tuk-tuks: Tuk Tuk cont
Tuk Tuk - a neat little vechicle to get you around town. They are generally open air and have 3 wheels. You should always negotiate the price before you get in. -The initial prices will start out very high, esp for BKK. I would suggest offering 40 baht (about $1 USD). They will balk, but eventually agree. As a condition of this cheap fare, you will have to stop at a few stores - a jewelry store and a clothing store. These stores are the driver's sponsor and gives him coupons for gas. If you have some time to kill, enjoy a good bargin and love to see the city, fiding a Tuk Tuk is the way to go.

Around Bangkok, you can easilly find these Tuktuk. When you are walking the city centers, sometimes they are just behind you asking for a ride.

    Tuk-tuks: Tuk Tuks
Tuk Tuks are a major form of transportation in Thailand. They are small open air three wheeled cabs. Tuk Tuks are very cheap and are easy to find, they are everywhere. Taking a ride on one can be alot of fun. If you do not mind the smell of smoke and the dirty street, take a ride on a Tuk Tuk. Be warned, Tuk Tuk drivers are not always the most honest people. They may try to rip you off. Also, the hassle you when you walk by trying to get you to come with them for a ride.

Traveller be cautious - Ask the price before abording a Totok! They might charge u a HUGE amount of Totok fare! Caution - When the driver said that he has to pick up something before he can fetch u to your required destination..Never say yes! Because they might bring u to another tourist shopping mall. Caution - Tell them the price that you willing to pay first instead of them telling you.
