Favorite thing: Cha-am won't go down as the best beach in Thailand but it is a pleasant beach with green water.
Cha-am is not ‘in your face’ and that can make a genuine change .We sat in the beach chair for awhile before anyone came along to collect money or sell us stuff.
The best time for swimming is earlier in the day when the tide is high.The beach at low tide is rather ugly and as usual with many popular Thai beaches" littered with trash".
Fondest memory: Swimming,lazing in the deck chairs,eating.

Favorite thing: Every evening we returned home to Bungalow 150 (loihaasip in thai) at Chalet this gekko would greet us! That poor thing had lost his/her foot!
