Puek Tian Beach is a small resort town about 20 kilometres north of Cha-Am. It is famous for its statues in the sea depicting characters from one of Thailand's greatest poets Sunthon Phu and his 30,000 line story Phra Aphai Mani.

There are a few restaurants along the beach front and before you can even park your car they will come running out in front of you trying to get you into their restaurants. The beach here is not that nice but it is definitely worth coming here to see the statues which you can walk out to when the tide is out, very unusual.

It is a nice drive from Cha Am and tkes about 20 minutes, there are also some nice Temples to stop at along the way along the way especially Wat Luang Tanot which is in the shape of a huge ship. I did not get many photos of the Temple due to a few aggressive dogs running towards me, so I ran as well straight back into the car!
