Favorite thing: It seems that the people that I saw on the canals were always smiling. It must have been the joy of being on the water??

Favorite thing: You can see alot of the boats will be decorated in some sort of offering of flowers. You can see the stern of the boat in the middle of the picture has flowers on it.

Favorite thing: The local homes that are near the canals are on stilts. I haven't visited the area during the rainy season so I'm not sure but I'm guessing there are floods in the area.

Favorite thing: I guess when the boats aren't being used they locals pull the boats out of the water. I saw these boat racks at many of the homes near the canals.

Favorite thing: Riding the small boats and eating fruit makes for a great morning! You can see the sign in the picture about the Grape Festival coming up. But we missed it! We were a couple days early.
